I saw my great uncle bob for the last time today... A few years ago he was diagnosed with cancer. He recently stopped responding to the chemo. He decided to rent an RV and drive from his home in California to the rest of the family in Pennsylvania while stopping in every state along the way. He wanted to say goodbye while he was still healthy enough to enjoy it. His dog, Kali is keeping him company. I drove to my grandparents' house to see him for the last time. He is so full of energy and life that i can't believe I will probably never see him again.
You don't realize how painful goodbyes are until you run out of time for hellos.
