Oh No She Didn't !
Chapter 1
"I'm sorry, can you say that again?" I said, shaking my head awake from my daydream.
"Sweety, I said were moving. Now I know it's a little short notice but it's the only way that your father can keep his job." My mother said placing her hand on top of mine. I looked at her freshly manicured nails and tried to process what she was saying.
"Okay, so how far are we moving? A couple blocks, over one town?" I asked looking back and forth between my mother and father.
"Actually, Saddie, we're moving Massachusetts." My father said putting an arm around my mother. Probably for mental support but I was too angry to think about that.
"WHAT?!" I screamed jumping out of my seat. "Dad, we live in California! Do you know how far away that is?!" I stepped away from the table and began to pace around the kitchen.
"No I don't sweetheart."
"Well neither do I! I was hoping you would know..." I ran my finger across the marble counter top. "When are we moving?" I asked with my facing my parents.
My mom got up from her seat and walked over to me. She placed her hand on my shoulder and used her other hand to wipe away my tear.
" We're leaving two days after your last day of school. It was the only time we could move into the house with out losing the deposit." My mom pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead while I cried into her shoulder.
It's been two months since I've had that conversation with my parents. School was over and I had already said my goodbyes to all my friends. My parents finished loading the boxes into the big green Mayflower moving truck. I did my last walk around the house I grew up in. I walked into my purple painted room and bent down picking up the last box of clothes. A few tears shed down my cheek as I turned around. As I closed the door I was also closing the door to my life in California and opening up one to a life in Massachusetts. This was going to suck.
