In the field I walk among the many bright flowers of great variety. Ahead down the hill I see a village. I am hungry, so I find a place to eat. As I enter a place, I was kindly asked to sit, so I did. I was given a menu, and so I with patience and care looked it over to choose only but the best food that which I may eat. I look beside me to another table, a man with many dishes before him. "i'll have what he is having" I said, thinking how delightful his food looks, and oh my, does it smell good too. After a bit, i was served. as the food was placed before me, my eyes widened, and I could smell it's awesome fragrance. Mouth watering, I waited no more to eat it. As I took a bite, I look beside me to that other table, but the man had not touched his food. Not a single bite did he take. He only sniffed it, and said, my does this smell good. At any rate, i was intent on finishing my own food, and i eventually did. As i sat back in my chair, I once again look over to the other man. He had called for the chef for a reason I am unaware of, so I watched as the chef came to him. The man came from his seat, looking at the chief, they spoke, but I could not quite hear. The man then bowed and left. I did not understand, so I then too called the chef and asked him what was that about, "He comes here all the time, pays for the food, but he never eats it, he only smells it saying how good it smells. he is an odd one that man." said the chef "Why does he not eat the food, if he knows how good it is?" i asked. "I do not know" the chef replied. "Odd indeed, for I having smelled and saw the food, I could not resist it. You are indeed a great cook, and i will be back again. thank you for the meal" I then stood and bowed. The chef was well pleased. As i was walking out, i thought to myself "if a man knows what is good, why does he not take it?"
