I was in Dunkin Donuts.
Buying my usual.
There was a girl, who looked about fifteen.
She was sitting down with a guy.
All I heard was the guy say
"I never loved you. I didn't want you to know, that I was seeing someone else. It's over."
I wasn't being nosy, he was saying it really loud. Loud enough to hear.
He got up and left.
It wasn't any of my business.
Until she started crying.
Then I wanted to get involved.
I walked over to her and sat down.
I said
"Hey, beautiful. Pick your head up."
She picked her head up, and tears were streaming down her face. She looked a little creeped out though.
"I'm not trying to be creepy. I heard what he said. And then I saw you cry. I want you to know, you can do better. You don't need him. You deserve someone who will treat you right, make you laugh, and make you smile. Not someone who leaves you sitting in dunkin donuts in tears. It's his loss. Completely his loss."
She continued to cry and said "Thank you but I don't deserve anyone. Every guy just leaves me. I'm a piece of trash."
I wiped a tear that was falling down her cheek, and said
"You're not trash, you deserve alot better. You're beautiful. Don't cry."
She just starred at me, and said "I'm not beautiful." And showed me her arm. There were cuts all up and down.
I held her arm and said,
"You're strong. You're beautiful inside and out. Don't forget it. And please don't cut again. You ARE alot stronger than that."
She stopped crying, and with a serious face said
"You just saved my life."
No girl is not beautiful. You're going to go through a few douche bags before you find that right person.
I think everybody should know that. Everyone, no matter what, is beautiful in their own way.
I promise.
