i say hi to your friend,
but i didn't know you were right behind him.
it might have been the saddest thing
that i've ever seen.

she walks past him every day, has for about 9 months now.
and every day; seeing him feels like →a punch right in the gut.
he's (changed) so much in only a years time,
and that hurts her the most.
neither one were perfect, oh they were far from it.
but all that matters is that they were perfect for each other.
it's sad that now they can't even share a hello.
so she'll just look d.o.w.n as he comes around the corner,
and breathe in a little deeper to take in his scent,
then [[look back]] just in time to see him walk away.
did i mention, how this happens every day.
