I got up out of bed and suddenly i felt SICK. Like really sick. My head pounded, and i could berely stand. I called for my mom, and she took my temp. it was 104. Besides all of the sickness, I felt a little relived. I didnt have to face everyone at school. and at least it was friday so i would have the whole weekend to think. I laid in my bed and fell asleep. I had another dream this time i was in a meadow. and there she was, Rebecka. "Your back." she said in a soft tone. "What did u want to tell me" I demanded "all in good time " she said "all in good time"

It hit me like a meteor. "But......... but how?" my voice trembled. "Well", my mom started, "she, um, she got hit by a drunk driver while walking home from school. That hit me even harder. I began to cry. I remembered when Rebecka asked to come to my house after school. Why did I say no? If I said yes none of this wouldve happened. I decided to keep the thought to myself. I ran upstairs and into my room. The more I thought about it, the more I cried. It was all my fault. How was I ganna face school tomarow? I'd be a wreck! I didnt feel like eating dinner. I didnt even feel like watching T.V. As II laid on my bed, my eyelids became heavier. I drifted into sleep. I had a strange dream that night. I was standing in a golden feild. The sun was shining on my face and there was a cool summer breeze blowing through the air. There was a girl standing in front of me. She had curly, brown hair that flowed to her waiste. She wore a pink sundress. She looked at me with green eyes. Rebecka. "Rebecka?" I began "I thought you were, um, uhhh/ "I know" she said "You can say it, dead. I am dead" I spoke again "Then what are you doing here? What is this place?" "I don't really know." she said "I want you to know something" "What" i stamered. Then something started to happen. The scene began to fade. I was wakeing up. "Wait!" I yelled. She didnt seem to here me. "Wait!" but it was to late. I opened my eyes. It couldnt have been real.

You Know that one person in your grade. That one person that the only thing you really know about them is their name. The person that you've only talked to once in your life and it was just because the teacher paired you up. That person for me was Rebecka.
It was a normal Friday morning in winter. I was getting ready for school. "Make sure you wear your winter coat!" my mom said. "Got it!" I replied. I hurried outside along my slippery driveway and into the bus. It was nothing diferent than any other day on the bus. there was Kenny Henderson and Robby Baily making fun on of Greg Bofish (according to Kenny its Greg Blow-fish). There was also Roy and Joy taber (twins) sitting side by side as always. And there was even Ashely Karman and Billy Flanigan were makeing out in the back, as usual. Soon, we got to school.It was just another boring day. Math, science, reading, and english. The only thing that kinda stuck out to me was that during lunch Rebecka Jennings asked my if she could come to my house after school. I made up some lame excuse that I had to study (I berely knew her, for god sakes!). The day finally came to an end and I rode the bus home. When I got home I could hear my mom on the phone. She was crying. " Ok (sob sob) th...thanks for calling" she said. She jumped when she saw me standing in the doorway. "Whats.......whats wrong" I asked. With tears streaming down her face, she said "Your...... your friend rebecka" " what!?" I demanded. she spoke slowly. " Rebecka Jennings is dead".
