Everything I've learned this freshman year
1) Live in the moment. Not the past, not the future, but right now. Because soon, these times will be gone and all you'll have are memories, and if you spent your time with your heart in the past and looking forward to the future, those memories will be regretful ones
2) Speak up. Don't let them walk all over you. Tell them how you feel, and tell them right now. You will feel so strong, and they will know that your one person they can't belittle
3) Give it a chance. Whatever that thing, that person, that opportunity is, try it. What's the worst that could happen?
4) Go after every opportunity. Run for student council, join the debate club. That's all the more memories for you.
5) Don't be mean to anyone. Even if you feel impatient and annoyed, if you do something mean you'll regret it so much later.
6) Form that bond with that special teacher. The one you'll never forget. Tell them that. It will make their day
7) You aren't getting that apology. Some people are just like that.
8) Be crazy. You aren't going to make memories watching other people. Your going to make memories doing it.
9) Put in every ounce of your effort, because you wont regret studying too much, or practicing too hard, ever. You will regret not studying enough and slacking in practice.
Oh, and high school only happens once.
