i still remember those deep hazel eyes....
&how i'd get <lost> in them e v e r y time you said my name.
i remember when you ran your fingers through my hair & said, "i love you".
& then you |broke| my heart & i was m i s e r a b l e.
cried myself to `sleep for weeks.
plastered on fake smiles(: too.
but then i _finally realized all those hazel eyes r e a l l y told me were...
lies.

Yep, that's darn `right.
I just realized that I don't need him anymore.
& you know what?
I'm doing pretty damn fine without him.
No more getting my hopes up or waiting for him to come around.
No more crying on the edge of my bed ; waiting for a phone call.

Because I'm done with him.

i listen to the droned out rings until it fades into your voicemail.

because later to you, seems like decades.

& when later does come around...

where were you, when i was in need of your help?
