Catch Me if You Can
Chapter 17
I mixed myself a Shirley Temple drink in Jason's extended kitchen. while everyone was out in his backyard swimming.
My stomach wasn't feeling too well, especially after my dramatic scene with Harry.
It also didn't help that he was cuddling with Dani on the sunchairs.
I watched the two of them with envy, as Dani giggled at something Harry had whispered to her.
How could Harry act so perfectly fine, while I was boiling with anger?!
"Are you planning to pour that whole thing in?" someone asked from behind.
My heart skipped a beat in surprise, as I spilled some cherry flavoring on the marble floor.
It was then that I had realized I literally poured half of the cherry flavoring in my drink.
I flustered in embarassment when I realized that Jason was staring at me with an amused smile.
I quickly grabbed some paper towels, and wiped the white marble floors down.
"S-sorry, I'll try to clean it." I muttered, pushing the paper towel's down hard.
Jason chuckled, before bending down towards me, helping me clean the mess.
"I think it's clean now." he chuckled, helping me up.
"Yeah, sorry about that." I sheepishly apologized, rubbing the back of my neck.
Jason shrugged, as he threw the red stained paper towels in the trash.
"Here, you can have my drink." I offered, holding out the cup of red liquid.
Jason chuckled, as he shook his blonde, dampened hair.
"No, thanks. I think you overdosed on the cherry." he teased.
I rolled my eyes playfully, taking a large gulp of the drink.
I made a face at how strong the cherry flavoring actually was.
Jason laughed again teasingly at my scrunched up expression, as I poured the remaining of the drink down the drain.
Suddenly, a head of floppy brown hair appeared in the kitchen, making my heart jump.
He stared back and forth at Jason and I curiously, opening the fridge.
"I'm just getting something to drink for Dani and I." he muttered under his breath.
I watched as Harry fumbled in the fridge.
He took out two cans of beer, before slamming the fridge shut.
He glared at Jason for a second, before returning a blank look at me.
He cursed under his breath, stalking out of the kitchen.
"You like him, don't you?" Jason asked, as soon as Harry reappeared in the backyard, outside.
My face grew red and hot.
I shook my head. "N-no." I stuttered.
Jason stepped closer to me, as my eyes flickered down to his bare chest.
"Then, I hope you don't mind me taking you out to dinner tonight?" he asked, grinning.
I gasped, as my breath shortened.
I stared back outside, where I saw Harry and Dani sharing a kiss.
My heart clenched, as I stared back at Jason.
"Why not?" I asked, determined.
Jason's grey eyes lit up, as he reached out a hand.
His cold fingers brushed the hair out of my face, as he smiled.
"Then it's a date." he announced.
I nodded. It was a date.
My first date.
