Hey gorgeous , this is my story account for Witty :) My normal Witty is Emmi89, please follow me, I promise to follow back! I love writing, I've been writing stories for about 2 maybe 3 years now, and I haven't stopped since. I love reading and writing books because I find it's a great way to forget about all your problems and to get away from it all for a little while. I'm 13 (14 in August) and like many of you I spend pretty much all my spare time on Witty. I live in England and I love summer, not that we get much sun here but y'know ;) I also love music, my friends, family, the beach, and loads of other stuff :) I'm in year 9 and I may not be the most popular person or your definition of "cool" but I'm me and I have some really great friends. Only a few people know I write but hopefully, that's about to change. Well, I'm sure you're kinda bored by now so, I'll shut up, yeah? ;) If you wanna know anything else feel free to comment on my profile, I'm open to any questions and feedback :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So my first story is called "Second Guesses, Second Chances". Here's the overview:

Sometimes chances just aren’t worth taking

Ever had a secret you couldn’t tell your friends? Found out you’re best friend was your mortal enemy? Been on the brink of life or death? The thing is: having powers can sometimes put you in more danger than it can get you out of. Trust me; it isn’t all fun and games. Sometimes I wish I could go back. Sometimes I wish it wasn’t me. Sometimes I wish I had someone I knew I could definitely trust, with anything. No-one said life was going to be easy. But no-one said it was going to be this hard. Who am I? I don’t even know anymore. Because everything I thought I knew, turned out to be false.

    Second guesses,
    Second Chances
    Chapter seven
    Part four
As I was holding my fifth heat ball I looked out of my window. I could see Lilly coming up the front path. Hurriedly I got rid of the magic. Had they seen me?
“No” a voice came through my thoughts. Elsie.
    “Thank you” I thought.
I could have kicked myself for being so stupid. It was only 7.30pm. I didn’t want to speak to my mum. The chances were she was still in a bad mood. Instead I grabbed the phone and rung Amber.
“Hello?” said her voice down the other end of the line.
“Hi Amber, it’s Miya” I said.
    “Oh Hi Miya”
“Do you want to go shopping this weekend?” I asked.
    “Sure sounds good”
“Where should we meet? And what time?”
“12’oclock? Outside John Lewis?” She replied.
“Cool, I’ll ring Poppy, Amber and Madison then” I smiled to myself.
“Awesome, we should get lunch in the arts café” she said.
    “Great idea” I replied enthusiastically.
“See you tomorrow then” Amber replied.
    “Yep”
    “Bye”
I hung up smiling. I walked downstairs quietly. When I reached the kitchen, there was a chicken salad set out for me. Mum was no-where to be seen so I suspected she was putting Lilly to bed. I ate the salad quickly and ran back upstairs. I sat on my bed, pulling a brush through my straight as a die blonde hair, thinking about what had happened today. I thought about what I’d found out. My powers; that I’d been unaware of but right now it felt as though I’d known about them forever, not to mention life without Jack as my friend… I couldn’t be friends with him anymore all because of some stupid enemy thing. I sighed. I pulled on my pyjamas and grabbed my favourite magazine and my iPod. I sat cross-legged on my bed and tried to forget about it all. It was all just too much, too over-powering. For a few minutes I sat there managing to forget but thoughts kept slipping into my head. I closed my eyes, listening to the track that was playing. It must have been coincidence that the track “Three little birds” by Bob Marley was playing but it felt planned. The song seemed to be telling me what to do, “Don’t worry about a thing, ‘cause every little thing, is gonna be alright”. I smiled. Every thing was going to be alright I thought. But of course it wasn’t going to be, was it?

    Chapter seven
    Part three
“Right hold out your hands like this” Nathan put his hands in front of himself. I copied him. Nathan frowned with concentration. His necklace began to glow and suddenly in his cupped hands was a ball of blue glowing icy air. I gaped. Cara and Nathan laughed as he turned his hands over and pulled them apart. The icy ball disappeared.
    “Your turn” he grinned.
    Obediently I cupped my hands.
“Okay, now close your eyes…” Nathan told me, “Relax”.
I did as I was told.
“Think about your stone. Imagine it. Ask it in your thoughts to give you the power you want” Nathan’s voice got quieter.
I thought about my stone. I imagined it. I raised my hand and touched the smoothness of it. Then I thought heat. I’d been told that heat and fire were my individual powers. Heat. I could feel a tingle starting at my finger tips. My stone was warm against my skin. I opened my eyes and saw it glowing. And unlike Nathan I had an orangey red fiery ball in my palms. I stared at it in fascination. It didn’t weigh a thing. I couldn’t even feel it. To be honest if I couldn’t see it I wouldn’t know it was there. Nathan and Cara smiled.
“If you want to heat up the room then just point the ball in the direction you want to heat up” Cara told me.
I turned a full circle. As I went little misty orangey red swirls followed me. They soon disappeared. As
I returned to my original position I turned over my hands and moved them apart. The glowing ball had disappeared. The room was warm.
“You did it!” Cara ran over to hug me.
I smiled. Nathan looked over at me with a twinkle in his eye as his cousin hugged me. I laughed, pleased.
“I guess we’ll leave you with that for tonight then” Cara said.
I nodded and looked at Nathan. Was it just me or was there a glimmer of disappointment in his eyes. It must have been me because it disappeared instantly. I followed them to the door. I then knocked on Hope’s door.
“Elsie?” I asked, opening the door.
She nodded and jumped up, saying bye to Hope. I walked downstairs to the front door, and then checking the coast was clear ushered them outside.
    “Bye” I waved.
    “Bye Miya” Cara grinned.
I watched them walk down the street and then slid back inside. I ran up to my room to try out my magic again.

    Chapter seven
    Part two
I opened the front door and walked inside with the others. Motioning to them to be quiet, I pushed them towards the stairs. I quickly ran into the kitchen and said hi to mum and told her I was doing homework, so was not to be disturbed. I instantly felt guilty. I shook myself. I was doing homework…just not the sort she thought I was doing, i.e. school work. I sighed and ran back upstairs. Cara, Elsie and Nathan were standing in the hallway waiting for me.
“Sorry” I mouthed, walking towards my room. I pushed open the door and pushed away the blue beaded curtain. I shut the door when everyone was in the room. Elsie sat down on my beanbag, Cara sat at my desk and Nathan sat on the floor crossed legged. I sat down on my bed, my stomach doing back flips.
    “Where’s Hope?” asked Elsie.
“In her room I expect” I replied.
“I’ll keep her busy then” Elsie said, looking at us.
Cara nodded. Elsie got up and left the room. I heard her knock on Hope’s door and then go inside.
“Do you have any other brothers or sisters?” Cara asked anxiously.
“One sister, Lilly, but she’s at a friends” I replied trying not to let my voice tremble, Cara’s anxiety was making me nervous.
“That’s fine then” Nathan soothed, obviously seeing my fear.
I swallowed. There was a silence.
“What shall we teach her?” Cara asked Nathan.
“Well she needs to know how to use her own powers” he replied.
They suddenly started talking really quickly. I couldn’t catch a word of anything they said.
    “Um guys?” I said.
They both jumped and turned suddenly.
“Hi I am here you know” I grinned.
    They looked slightly sheepish.
    “Right, yeah” Nathan said.
Cara looked at him. He looked back.
“There’s one thing you should know…” he said, suddenly, “You can’t be friends with Jack anymore”
    I stared at him. What?
“I… What? Why not?” My voice came out as a whisper.
Cara was twisting her hands in her lap and Nathan looked at her awkwardly.
“He’s the enemy, Miya” Cara blurted out.
    “Enemy?” I echoed.
    “Yes” Nathan told me.
“What do you mean?” I asked, struggling to take it in.
I couldn’t be friends with Jack? He was the enemy? No. This couldn’t be happening.
“Well…For years we’ve had enemies. We’re powerful, and they feel threatened. They have power, but they use it for the wrong reasons and things. We use our powers to help, they use theirs for whatever they like” Nathan said the last bit slightly scornfully.
“Basically, when the first people like us discovered their powers the dark one’s had had theirs for years. They didn’t like to know that other people were as powerful as them; if more powerful.” Cara said.
“Oh” was all I could manage.
Nathan sighed. Cara nudged him and gave him a look.

    Chapter seven
    Part one
The next day at school I walked up to Nathan and his mates. I left my friends behind, staring.
    “Nathan?”
He spun round and looked surprised to see me standing there.
“What’s up?” He said in a low voice.
“You can’t teach me tonight” I replied, quietly.
    “What? Why not?”
    “Grounded” I told him.
“If you can’t come to us, then we’ll have to come to you”
“Who are we?” I asked, but he had already turned back to his mates.
I walked home alone. Hope and I rarely walked together and Amber had gone to a friend’s. Not that it bothered me. Actually I was quite enjoying the quietness. I was, again, lost in my own thoughts. Then I heard the sound of footsteps behind me. I spun round and saw Nathan, Elsie and Cara walking behind me.
    “Hey stalkers” I laughed.
    Cara grinned, “Hiya”
“What are you doing here? Your home is that way in case you forgot” I pointed in the opposite direction.
    Cara laughed.
“I told you we’d come to you, seeing as your grounded” Nathan told me.
“Oh yeah, how could I forget” I slapped my head theoretically.
Nathan grinned. I glanced at Elsie who was standing there silently.
    “El?” Cara nudged her.
“Yeah? What?” She jumped, “Sorry I was-“
“We don’t need to know who’s mind you were reading thanks” Cara rolled her eyes.

“In case you didn’t realise, it’s now 6.30 and dark outside, your parents will be worried about you”
“Parent” I corrected him, “It’s only my mum, my dad left when I was 11”
    “Oh…” he looked guilty, “Sorry”
“It’s ok” I shrugged, “I should be getting home”
He nodded and walked towards the door.
We walked back to my house in silence. I was lost in my own thoughts. We reached the gate and I turned to face Nathan. His face was lit up by the moonlight and a street lamp further down the street. It was freezing out here. I shivered.
    “Take care” he said, softly
I walked towards the door and let myself in. The house was quiet. A dim light was on in the living room and I could hear the television’s volume set down to low. I pushed open the door and saw my mum sitting on the sofa. She looked over at me and her eyes hardened.
“Where have you been?” She asked.
“Sorry, I was at a friend’s, I forgot to call you”
    “How convenient”
    “Mum I’m sorry”
    “You’re grounded” She told me.
    “What? For how long?”
    “Depends”
“Geez mum!” I yelled, “You are so unfair!”
I ran up the stairs to my room and slammed the door. A few minutes later I heard a soft knock, barely audible. Lilly opened the door and looked at me.
“Come here” I told her, holding my arms out.
She ran over to me and hugged me. Then she looked up at me with her big brown eyes.
“I don’t like it when you and mummy fight” she whispered, “It reminds me of when daddy left”
A sudden feeling of loneliness swept through me. I barely thought about my dad anymore. The time when he left 2 years ago seemed to belong to another life. I felt so sorry for Lilly. She’d only been 5 when he’d left. They had been so close. When dad left sure it had hurt us all, but I could see now how much it had hurt Lilly. Sometimes I wished he would come back. Other times I wished he had never existed. I sighed wrapping my arms around my sister. Why was life so confusing?

    “Guess so” I shrugged.
“So, Cara’s just told you then?” he asked me.
    “Yeah”
“You’re like me aren’t you? You have a connection” He asked.
    “I think so”
“Don’t look so scared” he laughed, “It’s a good thing. Means you’re more powerful”
    “So I hear”
“Your stone’s a Sardonyx, mines a Tanzanite” he smiled.
“Oh” I said, not knowing what else to say.
He laughed, “That mean’s nothing to you does it?”
    “Not really” I replied, honestly.
He grabbed a notebook and a pen and started to write on it. Then he tore out the page and handed it to me. A list of all the months in a year was written on the page; next to it was a stone. I looked down the list until I found Tanzanite. It was written next to December. I folded the page in half and then in half again and tucked it inside my pocket.
“Now you’ll know which stone belongs to which month” he said.
I nodded. Geez this was awkward.
“I guess the next thing you need to know is about your powers” he grinned, “This is the fun part.”
Worry twisted inside me. What if I got it wrong? What if something awful happened?
“Each of us has a special power, one that’s individual to our stones. Then there are powers that we can all do…” Nathan explained.
    “Which are?” I interrupted.
“Let me finish!” he grinned, “Stuff like levitation, knowing when people are like us, we can all do. But then we come to the special powers. For a Sardonyx it’s fire and heat. You can do anything with them. For me it’s ice and cold, the opposite to you.”
I gasped. I could do anything with fire? Heat?
    “But that’s…it’s impossible…”
“Not when you’ve got a stone” he pointed at my necklace.
“Do you want me to teach you how to levitate tomorrow?” he asked.
“Can’t you teach me now?” I countered.

I stared gob smacked after this long speech.
    “Whoa…” Cara whispered.
shook my head trying to make sense of it all. Right on cue Nathan sauntered into the kitchen. He looked from me to Cara to Kelia. A look of confusion passed across his face and then disappeared instantly.“What’s up?” he asked, “Why is Miya here?”
Cara sighed and looked at Kelia. I stayed silent.
“Isn’t anyone gonna…” he began, stopping suddenly.
He was staring at my necklace a look of utter shock written across his face. He looked from me to Cara to Kelia. Then he turned and ran out of the room. I glanced and Cara and then followed him. He was running up the stairs. I ran up after him, taking the steps two at a time. I saw him go into the room at the end of this corridor. The door slammed shut behind him. I walked over to the door and knocked softly. No reply.
“I…I’m sorry” I told him quietly. Oh shut up Miya, what have you got to be sorry for? I thought, kicking myself.
I knocked again. This time the door opened so suddenly I almost fell into the room.
Nathan was standing there looking at me.
    “Nathan-“ I began.
“Don’t” he told me, “Come on”
He walked back into the room but this time he didn’t shut the door. I walked inside behind him, closing it quietly. I looked around the room. It was painted a dark blue. It was a huge room. There was a door at the side, leading to an en-suite. At the back of the room was a double bed which Nathan was now lying back on. There was a black sofa in one corner of the room, next to the bed, accompanied by a TV. I walked over to it and sat down. Nathan sat up and swivelled round to face me.
“So it's true?!” he looked at me.

    Chapter six
    Part one
She walked over to a chest of drawers by her bed and pulled open the lowest one. She rummaged around for a bit, and then she pulled out a white jewellery box. I knew what was inside at once. A Sardonyx. My stone. She handed it to me. Slowly I opened the box. Inside, hung on a silver chain was a small gemstone. Orange and white bands of colour swirled across it. Gently I touched the stone. It was sudden. A whole burst of energy swept through me. The stone glowed brightly and grew hot, burning hot. I gasped and pulled my finger away, as the necklace dropped to the floor. I looked at Cara. I knew she knew what had happened. Her face was a picture of astonishment.
“Oh my goodness… I’ve never seen a stone react like that powerfully before” she stared at it.
    “I…I…I don’t know what happened…I just…” I couldn’t form the words quick enough.
“I mean I’ve seen loads of people get tiny reactions but nothing like that. You must be really powerful” she looked up at me.
    “I really don’t…”
“Come on” she interrupted, “You saw what happened when you touched it. We have to tell my mum.”
She grabbed my arm and pulled me downstairs.
Her mum was surprised as well when we told her what had happened. She looked at me and the stone, which was now around my neck.
“I’ve heard of that happening. It happened to Nathan and Elsie too. It means generally that you are more powerful than the rest of us. You have special connections to your stone that are stronger than ours. You are very lucky but you must use your powers wisely. To be honest Cara, you need to let Elsie or Nathan show her how to use her powers now, as they are like her. You of course can teach her the basics.” Kelia said.

    Chapter five
    Part four
We walked up the stairs Elsie had come down. I suspected this wasn’t the only staircase. Then at the top we walked along a corridor to the room at the end. Cara’s Room was displayed on the door in fancy lettering. She pushed open the door, revealing a suite of rooms. Yes rooms. There was a small sort of lounge at the front and then behind it a huge bed and the bedroom area. Off of that there was an en-suite bathroom. Wow. This family were rich; really rich. She led the way across the room and sat down on the sofa, placing the cookies on the table. I walked over behind her and sat down next to her.
“Well…” She began, “Basically everyone has a birthstone right?”
I nodded. What was she on about?
“Well you know what they are now-a-days I guess. But we have the old ones. These stones…certain people have the ability to use them to…I don’t know how to explain…Um…”
    I stared at her bewildered.
“I suppose to do magic so to speak”
    “Magic?” I echoed.
“Yeah…When’s your birthday?” She asked me.
    “August 18th” I replied.
“Right so yours is a Sardonyx” she replied.
    A what?
“Mine’s a Rock Crystal, I was born in April” She pointed to the necklace around her neck.
A white crystal was gently glinting in the afternoon sunset. Hanging perfectly against her tanned neck.
“What? I don’t get it. Our birthstones give us power?” I was confused; no beyond confused into absolutely bewildered.
    “Yeah” she shrugged.
“Who else has the ability?” I asked.
“Loads of people, my aunt, my mum and my cousins can” she answered.
“Right so your family can do magic?”
    “I guess”
“How can you tell who can do it?”
“I don’t know, but mum does”
    “What kind of magic?”
“Depends on your stone” she replied.
    “Right”
“Look, don’t worry for now ok? Come round again tomorrow. But first I need to give you this.” she told me.

“Do you have any brothers or sisters?” I asked.
“Nope, but Nathan has an older brother and a younger sister, and to be honest having those three around, I don’t need any” she laughed.
I laughed too. A girl ran down the stairs nearest to us. She looked about my age, maybe slightly younger.
"That’s Elsie” Cara pointed to the girl, who stopped and stared at me, “She’s Nathan’s sister, she’s 12”
Elsie was medium height, slim, and tanned. She looked just like Nathan. She had the same sandy blonde hair which was long and down to her waist. She had sea green eyes too.
“Same age as my sister, Hope” I acknowledged.
    “Hope?” Elsie asked, “Hope Williams?”
    “Yeah” I replied.
“She’s nice” Elsie grinned and ran towards the kitchen which I could see from here.
“Well yeah, that’s Elsie, so you have one sister?” Cara asked me.
“I have two, Hope and Lilly whose 7” I replied.
“Oh ok” she smiled, “If you meet him, Nathan’s brother’s called George” she told me.
I nodded smiling. She led the way through into the kitchen which looked light, and expensive. Big patio doors and windows stretched almost the whole of the back wall. From where I was standing I could see clearly a swimming pool glinting softly and a massive garden. I could see Elsie and a boy who looked about 16 playing with a black Labrador in the garden.
    “Is that George?” I asked.
“Yeah” she answered, glancing at the garden.
She did a double take, “Oh my word. George is downstairs? George? Please tell me I’m not the only one seeing this”
    I laughed, “You aren’t” I reassured her.
My laugh didn't signify how I felt inside though. I was nervous. No, scrap that, I was freaking out. I wished she'd just get to it and tell me whatever it was. I sighed and looked at George. George was like Cara. He had the same tanned skin and I couldn’t see his eyes but they looked sea greeny-blue from where I was standing. He had dark hair, jet black. He must have got his dark hair from his dad, like Cara, I assumed. At that moment a tall woman who looked to be in her late thirties came into the kitchen. She looked so much like Cara it was un-believable. The only difference was their hair colour, and their age obviously. She had the same sandy coloured hair as Nathan and Elsie. She smiled at us.
    “Who’s this?” she asked Cara.
“My friend. Her name’s Miya; she’s in the same year as Nathan.” Cara replied.
“Oh ok” She smiled, “I’m Cara’s mum. My name is Kelia.”
“I love your name” I smiled back.
“Thank you; do you guys want some cookies? Sylvia made them”
“Sylvia is Nathan’s mum” Cara whispered.
    I looked at Cara.
“Yeah, please mum” She grinned at me.
I frowned. She still hadn’t told me anything. Cara seemed to realise this.
“I’ll explain in my room” she whispered.

    Part two
    Nathan. Typical. Damn, damn, damn.
    “Are you ok?” he asked.
    “Miya?”
I turned and saw her running towards me. Her bun had been let down so her glossy brown hair streamed out behind her.
"Are you alright?” she asked when she met me.
“I…I’m fine…” I lied; my stomach felt like it was doing a hundred back flips, I had nearly been killed.
“Nathan, go away” she glared at him.
He looked at me, then at her and shrugged. She gave him a meaningful look. He nodded once and turned walked away.
“Do you know him?” I asked.
“Yeah, he’s my cousin” she laughed, “Unfortunately”
I stared at her. I could see some resemblance now. They were so alike. They had the same sea green eyes and tanned skin, but where his hair was corn coloured hers was a chocolate brown. How could they look so alike when they were only cousins?
“Our mothers are twins” she answered my question, “That’s why we look alike”.
    “Oh I see” I smiled.
“I’m Cara by the way, Cara Indigo” she smiled back.
“Are you in year 9?” I asked.
    “No” she replied, “Year 10”
I nodded. That was why I barely saw her.
“So” she looked at me in the eyes, “I guess you’ll want to know how on earth I know you and…” she stopped herself.
    "What?” I asked.
“Come with me, we’ll go back to my house” she linked my arm and tugged me towards the exit.I followed her; bewildered, realising I had no other choice.
Her house was a 15 minute walk away. The house was huge, not big, huge. It was so modern. It was white with giant windows stretching a long way, sometimes across a whole wall. In one corner there was a small turret. There were flowerbeds all the way along the drive and grass a sparkling green. I mean don’t get me wrong- our house isn’t exactly small. But this house was something else.
    “You live here?” I asked.
She laughed, “Yeah, my family and my aunts, Nathan’s mum”.
Nathan lived here? I followed her up the gravel drive towards the front door. Near-by three expensive cars had been parked. She opened the front door and beckoned me inside. I followed her into the huge airy hallway. Expensive furnishings were everywhere.
“Mum? I’m home, and I’ve brought a friend round” she shouted.

    Chapter five
    Part one
By the end of the week I still hadn’t seen her again. I was convinced she’d mixed me up with someone else. What could she have to tell me? Nothing, I thought. I was wrong of course. I was in the queue at the canteen. I didn’t even notice she was there until she stopped talking to her friends and turned around. She looked so different today. Her shoulder length brown hair was tied in a messy bun and her make-up was immaculate. She grinned at me. I blinked. It was her. That girl.
“Meet me after school, in the parking lot” she told me, and then turned back to her friends. I just stared, astonished. I sat down with my friends, lost in my own thoughts.
    “Miya?”
“Oh for goodness sake Miya!” Amber nudged me, bringing me back into the real world.
“Sorry” I apologised, “What were you saying?”“Never mind that” Amber looked at me, confused, “What is up with you? You’ve been in your own world since you got back from getting your macaroni cheese which by the way you’ve barely eaten any of and its 5 minutes till the bell goes”.
“Oh…” I glanced at the clock, “I’m not really hungry anyway” I said, pushing my plate away.
Poppy gave me a look of concern.
    *
I walked over to the parking lot, my stomach twisting with nerves. Where was she? I stood at the side of the lot, out of the way of the cars. Not that there were any. But just in case. I stepped back into the road to see if I could see her. No sign of her. Suddenly a car was speeding towards me. I looked at it weighing up my options. There was no way I could get out of its way now. I gasped and braced myself ready for it to hit me. A hand grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the way, just seconds before the car flew across the space I had been standing in. I catapulted straight into the person who had pulled me out of the way. I looked up.

    Chapter four
    Part two
After lunch the girls wanted to go back to the form room. They stood up and began to clear-up grabbing their bags. I didn’t want to go back to the form room. Not yet.
“Are you coming?” Amber asked me.
Suddenly I felt a convenient lurch of dizziness. I slumped back against the table holding my head.
“Miya?” Poppy looked at me, “Are you ok?”
“I’m fine…I think I just need some air” I replied.
“Do you want me to come?” She asked her eyes wide with concern.
“I’ll be ok” I smiled weakly and stumbled out the back door of the canteen.
I walked over to the nearest tree and leant against it.
I took in a few deep breaths and felt slightly better. I walked absently towards the main building again. Slam. I walked straight into someone. I drew back from the collision
    “Sorry” I muttered.
“Are you alright?” Nathan looked at me from under his fringe.
    “I’m fine” I replied.
    “Ok” he shrugged.
    How awkward.
I sighed. He glanced at me. There was a long pause.
“What?” I asked at last, exasperated.
“Nothing” he looked at me again.
What the hell? Just say something. For goodness sake say something or go.
I looked up and met his gaze. For a moment he held it, his face went from confused to normal, to confused again. Then without warning he turned and walked away. I watched him until he turned to go into the science building. Then I walked towards the English block. Year 8’s were scattered across the field and I wove in between them. It was cold outside and I was eager to get into the warmth of my form room. As I crossed the pavement into the building I caught sight of someone sitting down hugging their knees in the corner. I stopped in my tracks. They were crying. I walked over quietly.
“What do you want?” she asked.
Her eyes were red and full of tears and her face pale. She looked faintly annoyed.
“Nothing…I just wanted to see if you were ok” I replied.
    “Ok?” she echoed.
“Yeah” I sat down next to her on the cold concrete.
“You’re Miya aren’t you? Miya Williams?” she closed her eyes, her expression clearing.
I looked at her. I was sure I’d never met her before. I tried to see if there was anything familiar about her. I couldn’t. She chose this exact moment to open her eyes. I looked away blushing.
“Yeah…” I replied at last, “Do I know you?”
“No” she laughed, “But I know you”
    “How…?”
“Don’t worry” she cut me off, “You’ll get it soon”
She got up and walked away in the direction of the sports plaza. I got up and walked into the English block; my head swimming with questions. How did she know me? What does you’ll get it soon mean? When would she explain?

    Chapter four
    Part one
I woke up at 7 on Thursday morning and the sunlight was streaming through my curtains. I grabbed my uniform and pulled it on and dragged a brush through my hair before pulling it into a high ponytail. I grabbed my mascara and slicked a bit on and applied a swish of lip-gloss. I walked downstairs and grabbed some toast before swinging my school bag over my shoulder. It was early, way too early to meet Amber. So I texted her saying I went to school early to finish my homework. When I arrived at school it was dead quiet. So I went and sat under the willow tree near the front entrance. With no intensions of finishing my homework. It was out of sight and quiet and one of my favourite places to sit. I sat there for a while, drinking in the silence, falling from the trees like rain. People began to pour in about 10 minutes later. I got up and brushed the grass off my legs. I walked over to the English block and met up with my friends.
My first lesson was PE. The teacher looked at us and put us in pairs.
“Miya Williams, you’ll be with Nathan Rye”
Nathan looked up hearing his name, “With who Sir?”
    “Her” He pointed at me.
Great. It was like he was officially stalking me. I glared at him. He walked over to me and slouched against the wall next to me. All the girls looked at me enviously.
“I don’t think either of us wants to be together so just leave me alone” I told him.
    “Gladly” he replied.
We had to run around the perimeter of the school. It took forever. At the end we got back in about 20 minutes. I stalked off to the changing room.

It's really annoying- I'm going to have to make my chapter parts smaller as this is the second time it has cut off the start (of chapter 3, part 3) It's only cut off a few lines, so here they are:
“Hi Miya! Hi Hope!” Mum called.
    “Hi mum” I replied.
Hope walked out the living room and hugged mum.
“Mum, James is here, is that ok?” she asked with a mega watt smile turned on.

“Yeah I guess, but don’t do anything stupid”
    “Mu-um!” Hope complained.
I laughed and picked up Lilly whirling her around. She screamed and laughed.
“Why don’t you and Lilly take your lunch outside and eat it picnic style?” Mum asked.
“Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!” Lilly jumped up and down.
“C’mon then” I told my little sister.
We spread out a picnic blanket across our grass and sat down. Mum came out a moment later with a hamper which she put down in front of us. I opened it and took out 2 plates etc. Then we delved inside and found pasta salad, sandwiches, crisps, lemonade, and big Victoria sponge and cookies and salad and all sorts. I looked at mum and grinned in delight.
“Go on then tuck in! I’ll get James and Hope” she smiled.
Hope and James appeared a few minutes later.
"Jack's coming back" I told them.
    "Really?" My mum asked.
"Yup- on Wednesday I think" I replied.
“Wow! It’s September and we’re eating outside!” James grinned, “That is so cool”.
Hope laughed and grabbed 2 plates out of the hamper. We loaded our plates with food and tucked in.
“So is this Jack a friend of yours?” James asked me.
“Yeah, they’re in luurve!” Hope teased.
“Shut up!” I blushed, “We’re just friends” I corrected her.
“Very good friends” Hope couldn’t resist adding.
“Yeah best friends, shame you don’t have any” I teased.
“Hey!” She laughed, “That is so not true!”
    “I know” I laughed.
“So have you been out with him?” James asked next.
    “What? No!” I replied.
    “Oh…” James said.
    “Why?” I asked.
    “Just wondering” He told me.
I left it at that not wanting anymore awkward questions.

    Miya Williams- Hey Jack
    Jack Willow- How are you?
Miya Williams- I’m great now you’re coming back you?
Jack Willow- Haha, thanks, I’m good.
Miya Williams- When you coming back?
    Jack Willow- Probably Wednesday
    Miya Williams- This week?
Jack Willow- Yes this week, silly, as in four days ;)
    Miya Williams- ah ok ;)
Jack Willow- I’ve g2g my mum wants me to finish sorting my room out.
Miya Williams- Ok then, I’ll see you in 2 days! Bye x
    Jack Willow- Bye x
I logged of Facebook and went downstairs. I silently opened the living room door. Inside MTV was on and Hope and James were snuggled on the sofa. I closed the door again and walked into the kitchen. I sat down and grabbed my magazine. I heard the sound of a key in the lock and then the front door opening.

Sorry everyone, I just realised that Witty cut off the first paragraph of the first part of chapter 3, so here it is:
I woke up and felt so exhausted. I sighed and went into the bathroom to shower. I opened my wardrobe and pulled out my favourite skinny jeans and a t-shirt and a hoodie. Although the sun was streaming through my window, the grass was covered in frost. I pulled a brush through my freshly washed blonde hair. I blow dried it quickly and pulled it into a messy bun. I walked out of my room and knocked on Hope’s door. No reply. I opened it quietly and saw her sleeping still, her hair spread across the pillow. It was 9 o’clock and she was still asleep. Mum had taken Lilly to her friends and was going shopping and dad was at work. It was quiet in the house. I wrote a little note to Hope telling her I’d gone out cycling and went and grabbed my bike.
I hope it makes more sense now :)

    Chapter three
    Part one
As I cycled along the road the cool breeze ruffled my blonde hair which was streaming out behind me. Each time the wheels went around, I felt myself become more exhausted. The autumn sun was beating down on me and I cycled to Amber’s house, relieved to have made it. I left my bike up against her wall and rang the bell. I waited for a few minutes and then she answered. She looked surprised.
    “Hi” I greeted her.
    "Oh hi" she replied.
    "You busy today?" I asked.
She paused "Yeah sorry" she shrugged. She didn't look sorry.
"Oh... You never replied to my text" I told her.
"Your text? Oh right. I fogot to check my phone".
I knew when Amber was lying. She was looking at the floor and her hands were balled into fists. Two obvious signs of deciving.
I rolled my eyes "Never mind".
She looked at me. Waiting. After she said nothing, I shrugged and said "I guess I'll go then".
I'd hoped she'd say something, try and arrange a day to meet up or something. But she didn't. She just shrugged to and closed the door in my face. Hurt surged through me. I grabbed my bike and cycled home, trying not to let it get to me, as I racked my brain for something I might of done.
I opened the front door. Hope was waiting for me as I walked into the kitchen, “You hungry?” I asked.
“Not really” she shook her head.
    “Is James coming?” I asked.
    “Erm…maybe” She blushed.
“When?” I replied taking her answer as a yes.
    “1.30”
    “So now?”
    “Yeah soon”
“Ok then” I walked up to my room. I turned on my laptop, going on Facebook.
I scrolled through my notifications and messages. A friend request popped up. Nathan Rye wants to be friends. This boy was everywhere! I clicked accept and looked at my friends posts.
    Lisa Brooke- Going Shopping today!
Jack Willow- Moving back to home! See you lot soon!
I grinned. Jack was one of my best friends before he moved to Scotland. And now he was moving back? I smiled and clicked like.
Jack Willow- Moving back to Chichester! See you lot soon!
Miya Williams- See you soon bff! ;)
Jack Willow- Haha you too bff!
Lucy Mcartney- Your coming back? Oh no ;)
    Jack Willow- Thanks Lucy ;)
    Lucy Mcartney- Your welcome ;)
Poppy Johnson- What school you going to then?
Jack Willow- West Street High probably
    Miya Williams- Same as us!
    Jack Willow- Good!
The door bell rung and I heard Hope answer it.
    “Hey James”
    “Hi Hope”
I ran halfway downstairs and looked over the banister. James looked up.
    “Hello Miya” he smiled.
“Hi James” I replied, “Have you guys heard? Jack Willow’s moving back to Chichester!”
    “Jack Willow?” James repeated, bewildered.
“He went to mine and Miya’s old school. Then he moved to Scotland.” Hope explained, “What school is he going to?” She asked me.
