krRedHearts

You think I don't know the the pain of rejection?
The sorrow of heartbreak?
The joy of love?
The thrill of a first kiss?

The anxiety of a confession?
The bitter tears of splitting up?

WRONG.

I'M JUST STRONG ENOUGH TO STAND UP AND GET OVER IT.

What's up? The name's krRedHearts, because
my initials are K.R! Aaaaanyway, I've already had 3 boyfriends in the past, and I really thought the 3rd one and I would have something.....turns out I was wrong. My saying is, 'Live , Love, and look back at the good memories.' It's pretty true, right? As you can guess, my favourite colour is RED! Oh, I also LOVE meerkats! I have a really freaky obsession with them. xD Um.....I'm 16, and I'm called Kayla. Oh, and I love to write short romance stories! I promise that I always write at least 4 chapters every week- my current story is 'Your Love is my Drug'!

Hope you enjoy!

    Your Love is my Drug
    Chapter 7
    "Hi." I mumbled.
"You don't have to be embarrassed, Stella." Ryan smiled gently, tucking a loose strand of my hair behind my ear.
He always knew the right thing to say.
"Yeah..." I whispered, touching his hand as he wrapped his fingers around mine.
"Bye bye, Cinderella!" Cody laughed, taking Maddie away.
"So, what do you want to eat?" Ryan asked kindly.
"Double Cheeseburger, Large Strawberry Milkshake and Curly Fries. Yum." I grinned, pecking him on the lips lightly.
"Large appetite, huh? I'll be back, beautiful." Ryan said, kissing me on the forehead adoringly as he walked away, picking up two trays.
I felt tingles shoots up my spine, still breathing in the strong scent of his AXE deoderant.
Britney strutted past, glaring at me in her denim miniskirt and see-through, sparkly purple halter top. "Don't get too full of yourself- Ryan sleeps around. Didn't you see that other night?" she hissed, "He's only using you....Plus, everyone knows you're a virgin!"
Ryan came rushing over, carrying two trays of hot fast food.
    "Stell, don't lis-"
"Ryan isn't like that; he cares about the people around him, unlike you. I trust him, no matter what you say. Don't judge people like choosing between Gucci and Chanel, Britney." I said defensively, and then blushed slightly at my brave yet slightly embarrassing declaration.
Ryan pressed his light, moist lips against mine and I melted at the touch as we sat down.
"That was kinda....open, wasn't it?" I questioned, still secretly happy as I munched hungrily on a particularly cheesy curly fry.
"Yeah well, I want everyone to know that STELLA KEATING IS MY GIRLFRIEND!" Ryan shouted, emphasising the 'girlfriend' part.
I giggled, accidentally-on-purpose dropping my fork so he wouldn't see the stupid grin plastered all over my face.
Several people turned around, but we just sat there like a pair of crazy people.
Suddenly, a gorgeous girl entered the room.
She had beautiful natural red lips, and wild, foxy auburn hair that looped at just the right places, at if it has just been done by a curler.
Her skin was a fair light tan, and also had thick, long black eyelashes.
She looked around the room for a second and then ran towards Ryan, squishing him in a big, too friendly hug.
"Ryannnnnnn!" she squealed, nearly choking him.
"So, Ryan, want to tell me who your friend is?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
The girl looked flustered, but then unglued herself from Ryan and stood up straight, showing off her vivacious curves and skinny body.
"Oh, sorry! I'm Scarlett. Scarlett Red." she smiled, holding out her perfectly-manicured nails.
I shook it awkward, looking at Ryan for an explanation.
"Oh, Scarlett's a friend I used to know in middle school- she moved to Canada! So, remind me why you're here again?" Ryan explained.
"Well, I missed you! So I decided to become your girlfriend again. You still love me, don't you?" Scarlett smiled, showing her pearly whites.
Ryan put his arm around me and held me close.
"Sorry, but I'm dating Stella right now- and no one can compare to her." he smiled reassuringly.
I smiled back, but then frowned, easing away from his grip a little.
"What do you mean, 'again'?" I asked, folding my arms.
"Oh, don't you know? I was Ryan's first girlfriend and his first kiss." Scarlett grinned, a little too slyly.

    Your Love is my Drug
    Chapter 6
"Wow." I smiled, looking up at the shimmering stars above.
"Woooow." Ryan grinned, running his gentle fingers through my hair.
"I love you, Stella." he whispered into my ear.
I blushed like mad, my heart thudding like a drum.
"I-I love you too." I said quietly, barely even audible.
Ryan came in for another tender, loving kiss on the lips, only letting go when we needed air.
"So talk." he laughed, inbetween affectionate kisses.
    "Talk....?" I asked, confused.
I loved our sweet, passionate kisses.
Ryan held me in his warm arms for what seemed like a century, looking at me with his beautiful crystal blue eyes.
"I want to know about you. I love your voice, your silky hair, your innocent lips...." he murmured, grabbing my head and resting it on his shoulder.
    This felt like heaven.
I smiled softly, entwining his big hands together with mine.
This is love, I thought, He's the one.
I wanted to scream in happiness, but kept myself organised and instead brushed Ryan's cheek with my lips, and noticed the butterflies fluttering in my stomach.
"Why me?" I questioned, lying down again.
"Because I knew you were 'the one' the very first moment I met you. Yeah, pretty cheesy, huh?" Ryan chuckled, throwing his arms around my waist. "Wow, your waist is tiny!"
I flushed, staring at the starry night sky.
    "Yeah, me too." I breathed.

"I knew it. Don't deny it! Pay up, Maddison Graye Alex." Cody smirked, holding out his hand.
"Whatever..." she muttered, but pulled out what looked like $30 and slapped it hard onto Cody's palm.
"You guys were making bets on how long it would take me to become Ryan's girlfriend?!" I asked, pretending to be incredibly shocked.
The word 'girlfriend' still made my heart skip a beat everytime I said the word, though.
I smiled silently to myself as the both of them argued all the way to Lunch.
"Well of course we did! It was a matter of time before that happened, wasn't it? Come on, everybody practically knew it was going to happen sooner or later." Maddie exclaimed, in a matter-of-factly tone.
"Yup! I betted that it would take one to two months- and guess who was right?!" Cody grinned, clearly enjoying the fact that this was annoying Maddie greatly.
I saw her punching-arm twitch, but she held it in.
"Well, what should I say? Stella seemed like such a darling little fairytale princess that I thought she would have taken much longer, like in those weird chic-flicks where the girls fall in love right at the start of the movie and don't confess till like, what, the end?! Gosh, what a bunch of floozies." Maddie cried.
"Speaking of which, Mr. Slick is right around the corner." Cody winked.
Author's Note: Okay, so I don't usually do Author's Notes and stuff, but I just really wanted to say to all of my readers that could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE favourite this chapter?! I tried really hard on it and I think it's my best chapter so far. I probably won't be asking for this again, but just this time- PLEASE?!?! Thank youuuuu. x

    Your Love is my Drug
    Chapter 5
I spent the next two weeks avoiding Ryan as best as I could.
It still made my heart race just to even stare at him, though.
"Oh for god's sake, Stell, get over him!" Maddie nagged, as we walked into English class.
Ryan sat there, looking up at me with those hopeful crystal blue eyes.
He had spent the past two weeks trying as best as he could to talk to me, although I was usually too fast for him before he caught up and actually got a chance to talk to me.
Ryan stood up, walking up to me.
    "Um, Stella-"
"So, Cody, did you have trouble with last week's homework?" I interrupted, bringing out the text book for 'Romeo and Juliet', sticking it right up in his face.
Cody glanced at Ryan for a second, but then decided to go along with the plan anyway. "Yup! I didn't even get the first question!" he admitted.
"WHAT?! You didn't get 'What made Romeo kill himself when he thought Juliet was dead?'! Because she loved him, obviously!" Maddie scolded, punching his arm lightly.
Ryan's eyes drooped down to his homework sheet again.
I forced myself not to wince as Mrs. Milligan came in, and began blabbing about Shakespeare immediately.
Cody flicked a post-it note right in my face, and Maddie had to stop herself from sniggering too loudly, and hid her face behind her hands, trembling with laughter all over.
'Pasta and Tomato Sauceeeee 4 lunch! Yershhhh! :D - Cody x
P.S. Go to talk 2 ur boyfriend
P.P.S. Maddie says hi', it said
I rolled my eyes and giggled, throwing it in my bag.
How could I bare to face Ryan?! I thought, even blushing at just thinking about it.
Finally, after what seemed like hours and hours, the bell for lunch rang and we could go.
"Lemme go on ahead! Looks like your boyfriend's looking for youuuu!" Maddie chirped, grabbing Cody by the arm as she dragged him away.
The room was empty, and by now even the teacher had left, leaving me and Ryan alone.
"Uh...I've finished packing up my books, so I'm just gonna go..." I murmured, turning the door handle, but it wouldn't budge.
"It's no good, Stella. Your friends have locked the doors from the outside, and even the windows." Ryan said, almost dangerously.
My face turned a deep shade of red.
Why was I so attached to him? I wasn't his girlfriend or anything, and I had only met him since about a month ago. I shuddered, remembering the whole kissing scene with Britney and Ryan.
Suddenly, my body was shaking, fists clenched. My sadness turned into rage.
"Why were you even with her?! Y-You didn't even care!..." I shouted, very nearly wanting to slap his face.
Ryan's expression softened, and it was almost impossible to be mad at him.
"I-I never knew you felt so bad about it, Stella. I'm really sorry. You didn't know that I'd been feeling incredibly awful about it, did you?" Ryan whispered, taking my hand.
My anger died away like a light being switched off.
"R-really...?" I asked, staring into his eyes.
Ryan nodded, and the next thing I knew he was kissing me- and I kissed him back.
It had only lasted about three seconds; but he was so gentle and sweet.
"Let's go." I breathed, grabbing his hands.
"Where?" Ryan asked, although it seemed as if he didn't exactly care.
    "Anywhere!"

    Your Love is my Drug
    Chapter 4
I popped off my headphones, turning around.
I saw Ryan leaning in towards me- and for one mad, magical moment, I thought he was going to kiss me.
"Uh...." I droned, staring at him while I could feel my cheeks burning.
"Sorry," Ryan apologised, "You have a flower petal in your hair."
I nodded slowly as he pulled a pink petal off my hair.
I shivered at the touch of his fingertips.
    Oh.
    Of course.
There was no way Ryan would would want to kiss a girl like me.
"You coming?" Ryan asked, beckoning for me to come towards him.
I put on a fake smile. "Nah, the music gives me a headache. I think I'll just stay here for now."
He smiled acknowlidgingly, and then walked back inside the house.
Sighing, I put my earphones back on and listened to more music.
At least Ryan wouldn't hear me sobbing then.

You're so stupid, I thought, Why would she want to kiss a guy like me?
Shaking my head, I went over to the table to get a can of beer.
    And another.
    And another.
I couldn't stop myself, and before I knew it, a whole stack was empty.
    I laughed and burped.
    Life was great.
Britney strutted up to me, her hot pink tank top dangerously low.
"Hey babe!" she simpered, her fingers running up and down my face.
Stella's touch was so much gentler.
"How about we ditch this freak fest and find a room upstairs? There must be about twenty- after all, it is my house." Britney suggested, and when I shook my head, she pouted. "Come on, Ryan! Give the birthday princess a little present."
Her cleavage was pressing up against my torso.
"Whatever." I muttered, running my fingers through my hair.
"That's more like it." she grinned, grabbing my hand roughly.
We searched upstairs for a free room until we reached a spare one.
It was ensuite, with a bathroom and a gigantic king-sized bed.
Suddenly, Britney pulled her body against mine and pushed me on top of the bed.
I felt a sudden urge to just drown my troubles away, and this was the chance.
I kissed her back roughly, holding her waist tight.
It made me feel much better to imagine that it was Stella I was kissing instead.
Britney began taking her top off until the door slammed open.
I flushed, jumping off the bed.
    "What now?" Britney grumbled.
There was Stella standing in the hallway, her big brown eyes welling up with sparkly tears; her soft, light pink lips quivering.
"Ryan....?" She whispered, letting a tear fall from her eye.
"Wait! I can-" I began, but she was already running down the stairs.
I could see her properly sobbing now, and made no attempt to answer back to Britney's wails from the bedroom, continuing to chase the girl who I had just lost.

    Your Love is my Drug
    Chapter 3
"Are you sure this is the party?" I asked, "This thing looks like the craziest party in all of California."
"Little goody-goody Stella!" Maddie smirked, "Have your never stepped into a 'party' before?"
"F.Y.I, it's basically like a human zoo." Cody piped in, parking his shiny silver Mercedes Benz.
    "Nice to know." I laughed.
The house was a huge white mansion with about a dozen glass windows, and huge crystal fountain with a little girl pouring water onto the flowers.
"Wow, guess who's been doing an 'inside' job!" Cody joked.
Maddie hit him with her bag and he screamed like the little girl on the fountain would have, or maybe even higher-pitched.
Music was blaring and could be heard from a couple of blocks away.
The lights were multicoloured, and I had even brought a present- that was simple manners, wasn't it?
"Naive little Stella, who comes from a town that taught her to grow up the right way."
I rolled my eyes, and linked arms with them
"Let's go!" I declared, and they whooped mellodramatically.
The instant I walked into the house, I was already having a huge headache. I dropped the present on a nearby table, and went to find somewhere quieter.
Finally, I reached a nearby porch that was silent and plopped on my headphones, scrolling down to Your Love is my Drug by Ke$ha.

This stupid party was giving me a headache.
"I'm gonna go get some fresh air, okay man?" I shouted over to Travis, who was gulping down a can of beer faster than my Black Ferrari could lap a circuit.
"Awright, man! But not too long, I hear Candace is swimming topless in the pool, and some girls are havin' a MAJOR catfight!" Travis said drunkenly.
I rolled my eyes and patted his back in an attempt to make him sober up, heading our for the porch- like that would work!
I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw Stella on one of the chairs, tapping her pretty hands to the rhythm of some song.
    She was so.......different.
All the other girls wore slutty club dresses, cakes of makeup and bronzer and threw themselves at the first thing with two legs they could find.
Stella was wearing a sexy purple romper and converse.
    Classic.
I could still smell her beautiful, sweet scent- like lavender in a field of thistles.
I shook my head. Man, I'm turning into a gay version of Shakespeare, I thought.
I walked over to an empty chair and sat next to Stella, although I don't think she noticed.
"Hi." I mumbled, trying to look casual.
    No reply.
Suddenly, she burst out. "What you got boy, is hard to find,"
    I frowned, slightly amused.
"I think about it- ALL THE TIME!" Stella sang.
Hell, I wasn't even listening now, just looking at those sweet, innocent lips- I wanted to kiss her so badly......

    Your Love is my Drug
    Chapter 1
I stepped out of the car, taking a deep breath.
"It'll be okay, honey! Trust me." mom beamed, although I didn't exactly believe it.
I kissed my dad and mom on the cheek as they drove away.
The school was pretty huge, with marble steps and a golden cupid statue, arrow poised and ready to shoot- shoot water, that was.
There was even a small glass compartment with an open roof view that seemed pretty cool.
I walked into the reception where a greying red-haired woman was sat in a ugly plum jacket and matching dress, along with a shrouded salmon pink scarf tucked neatly into the opening of her jacket.
    "Um, hi." I mumbled.
"Ah! You must be Ms. Stella Keating! Pleased to meet you, and welcome to St. Valentine's High School. I am Mrs. Banks!" she introduced, with a very forced, thin-lipped smile.
I nodded as she handed me my locker key and my class schedule, slipping away from her, when I bumped into someone.
    "Oh, sorry!" I apologised.
The girl smiled. "It's okay. I'm Maddie, and I like gummybears, especially yellow ones. YUM!.....I'm guessing you're the newbie?"
"Well, when you put it like that, yeah." I laughed.
Maddie could have probably been only 5'2, yet it was pretty fun to see a 16 year old acting like she was 7.
Maddie had bouncy brown curls and was wearing a bright red dress with a white belt. She had sparky emerald green eyes, and a shimmering white Lily in her hair.
Just then, some boy popped up out from nowhere, behind Maddie.
He had a shaggy mop of light blonde hair and light hazel eyes, boarded up by white beach shorts and an old Boycotts sweatshirt, sucking a red cherry lollipop.
"Newbie, Mad?" he asked, then after checking me out he added, "She's pretty hot."
Maddie smacked him on the head with her Chemistry textbook.
"Ow!" the guy yelped, protecting his head as Maddie hit him again.
I started giggling, and then, before we knew it, all three of us were on the floor, rocking with uncontrollable laughter.
"I'm-I'm- OH GOD!" the guy laughed, clutching his stomach as he chuckled. "I'm Cody! Wha-Wha-What's your name?"
I let the last squeak of humour escape my lips before I replied.
"Stella. Stella Keating." I smiled, picking myself off the floor.
People were looking, but really, I couldn't care less. I had made friends, and that was all that mattered.
Suddenly, I saw a handsome face looking back at me.
"I'm Ryan." he grinned, "You must be Stella."
"How do you know?" I asked, and then realised I had sounded pretty rude.
"Well, judging from your circus fest over there, I heard."
I raised an eyebrow, looking at him
Ryan had cool, shiny blonde hair and piercing crystal blue eyes.
As I stared at him for longer, he looked unrecognisably familiar.
"Hello?" Ryan asked, staring right back at me.
I snapped back into reality, blinking several times.
    "Sorry." I murmured.
"Never mind. Like I was saying, I just wondered if I could show you around, but I see your friends took care of that. Um, I think you're the same age as me, are you a Sophmore? Anyway, I'll give you my number just in case...." Ryan winked, but I wasn't listening, and instead subconciously cupped his face with my hand, stroking his cheek with my thumb.
"Jake......?" I whispered, tears falling from my eyes.
