Your Love is my Drug
Chapter 7
"Hi." I mumbled.
"You don't have to be embarrassed, Stella." Ryan smiled gently, tucking a loose strand of my hair behind my ear.
He always knew the right thing to say.
"Yeah..." I whispered, touching his hand as he wrapped his fingers around mine.
"Bye bye, Cinderella!" Cody laughed, taking Maddie away.
"So, what do you want to eat?" Ryan asked kindly.
"Double Cheeseburger, Large Strawberry Milkshake and Curly Fries. Yum." I grinned, pecking him on the lips lightly.
"Large appetite, huh? I'll be back, beautiful." Ryan said, kissing me on the forehead adoringly as he walked away, picking up two trays.
I felt tingles shoots up my spine, still breathing in the strong scent of his AXE deoderant.
Britney strutted past, glaring at me in her denim miniskirt and see-through, sparkly purple halter top. "Don't get too full of yourself- Ryan sleeps around. Didn't you see that other night?" she hissed, "He's only using you....Plus, everyone knows you're a virgin!"
Ryan came rushing over, carrying two trays of hot fast food.
"Stell, don't lis-"
"Ryan isn't like that; he cares about the people around him, unlike you. I trust him, no matter what you say. Don't judge people like choosing between Gucci and Chanel, Britney." I said defensively, and then blushed slightly at my brave yet slightly embarrassing declaration.
Ryan pressed his light, moist lips against mine and I melted at the touch as we sat down.
"That was kinda....open, wasn't it?" I questioned, still secretly happy as I munched hungrily on a particularly cheesy curly fry.
"Yeah well, I want everyone to know that STELLA KEATING IS MY GIRLFRIEND!" Ryan shouted, emphasising the 'girlfriend' part.
I giggled, accidentally-on-purpose dropping my fork so he wouldn't see the stupid grin plastered all over my face.
Several people turned around, but we just sat there like a pair of crazy people.
Suddenly, a gorgeous girl entered the room.
She had beautiful natural red lips, and wild, foxy auburn hair that looped at just the right places, at if it has just been done by a curler.
Her skin was a fair light tan, and also had thick, long black eyelashes.
She looked around the room for a second and then ran towards Ryan, squishing him in a big, too friendly hug.
"Ryannnnnnn!" she squealed, nearly choking him.
"So, Ryan, want to tell me who your friend is?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
The girl looked flustered, but then unglued herself from Ryan and stood up straight, showing off her vivacious curves and skinny body.
"Oh, sorry! I'm Scarlett. Scarlett Red." she smiled, holding out her perfectly-manicured nails.
I shook it awkward, looking at Ryan for an explanation.
"Oh, Scarlett's a friend I used to know in middle school- she moved to Canada! So, remind me why you're here again?" Ryan explained.
"Well, I missed you! So I decided to become your girlfriend again. You still love me, don't you?" Scarlett smiled, showing her pearly whites.
Ryan put his arm around me and held me close.
"Sorry, but I'm dating Stella right now- and no one can compare to her." he smiled reassuringly.
I smiled back, but then frowned, easing away from his grip a little.
"What do you mean, 'again'?" I asked, folding my arms.
"Oh, don't you know? I was Ryan's first girlfriend and his first kiss." Scarlett grinned, a little too slyly.
