   every time somebody hurts me
   i shut myself down
   i make myself numb
   i get rid of emotions so i don't have to cry
   this time i did the same thing
   but its not working all of the way
   what is wrong with me?
   why isn't this working?
   i'm not crying, but i still feel the pain
   this time i think i'm going to let myself hurt
   maybe i will feel real for a bit
   maybe every once in a while it is good to cry
   i think i will try it
   but what happens when i can't flip my emotion switch back off?
   what happens to me then?
