Chapter 2
" C'mon Hope. Let's not get stuck in this crowd of idiots" Mama said. We had finally arrived to the mall, me looking like a dork and sweating like a none-air conditioned house with my sweatshirt , jeans and flip-flops. I took off my sunglasses , swept my bangs back and pinned them together with my already flowing hair. "Mama, let's go to Hollister". After 4 hours of shopping at Hollister, Pacsun, Victoria's Secret, Forever 21, and Wet Seal, I walked out of the mall with 9 bags of clothes. Eye-catching summer clothes : Check! "Your first day of school tomorrow, Hope ! Aren't you exited?" My mama shook my hand like a maniac. "Yeah, mom, sure." Eh.. not really. That means just another boring school year , in 10th grade, me as the boring quiet girl. No, Hope, remember ? Your suppost to be the most popular girl in the school, with all the boys drooling over you as you walk down the hallway. Ugh.. how am I ever gonna do that? I gasped. In the middle of all my mind-babble, the most gorgueos-looking guy ever. He must be going into 10th grade , too! Ok Hope, slow down and act cool. He was walking on the sidewalk, hair ruffled, and he had the most beauitiful hazel eyes ever. I sucked in a deep breath of air and started toward him, not realizing my forehead was slicked with sweat and my shopping bags were overflowing in my hands. "Hi there , my name is Drew " he said, me looking (once more) like a stupid dork. "Oh, hello, my name is Hope" I saw his brilliant eyes twinkle for a second. "Nice to meet you Hope, and you have a very pretty name" My mind was like gears that couldn't move. I stuttered like it was the end of the world. " Oh.uh.uh thanks..." "Want to meet up somewhere? Like the movies or the park? Wait.. here... i'll give you my number.." Drew wrote quickly with a pencil and a slip of paper, and with one swift move, layed in in my hand that wasn't full, and winked at me. On the paper was a 10-digit number and "Hope, please call."
