Chapter 1
It was a typical Saturday afternoon. My brown loose curls blowing in the wind, while I watched the ocean waves crash among the beach. I was sitting there thinking how I'll be sixteen in a couple of days and will be having my big beach party soon. But, what really was on my mind was how i still didn't have my first kiss yet. Khole Madison, that's me, a girl from North Carolina who goes with the flow but stands up for herself. I was born on October second in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have hazel eyes that changes color depending on the sun. My hair is dirty blonde and usually in curls. I usually don’t put my hair up only if I’m doing sports. I have a sister named Alyx and a brother named Jake. Alyx has bleach blonde hair and blue eyes. She not a big sports fan like the rest of us. She more into art and dancing. She in the eighth grade and just as popular as me. As for my brother Jake was a year older than me. He was the football star for his grade. Every girl in the entire school loved him because he was so nice and respectful to girls, but i think it was because of his muscles. My parents were the cool parents compared to all our friends. My mom Krista was a nurse for the North Carolina hospital. She loved to cook in her spare time, Whenever we were home sick she would make us a whole buffet for us. She would always let us have fun but she set limits for us too. She would make all three of us do chores, help out with dinner, made sure we got good grades, and didn’t get in trouble. My dad Mark, was a stockbroker and in his spare time he liked to write. My dad and I were close since my first soccer game. We would always talk about the Women’s World cup and how we could improve my skills. He would always push me to try my best. My dad usually writes our essays for school. I have four best friends that mean the world to me. Aly has long light brown hair and dark big brown eyes. Aly was the party girl, if there was a boring party she would always brighten it up. Even though she was crazy and wild she got amazing grades. I have always been jealous of that. Shay has been my friend since 4th grade. Shay has medium brown hair with blonde streaks in them. She loved horses. She knew everything about them, if there was a horse in sight she would run up to him and as to ride the horse. She always got first place in her shows. Matt, was the volleyball player. He was tall tan, and has great muscles, He has short blonde hair and green eyes. Every girl in our grade always asked me for his number. Matt has been my best friend since kindergarten, we were also neighbors. Me and Chris has been my since 7th grade. He had blonde hair and bright, bright blue eyes. Chris was the quarterback for the football team. When Chris wasn't practicing football or working out he would be surfing. He was our top surfer in school. Me and Chris use to be really close but since he got a girlfriend we drifted apart. Sam and I use to be friends be friends in the 6th grade. Once we hit high school everything thing changed. She became the bitchy head cheerleader and I became better in soccer. Sam was rich like me but instead she rubs it in peoples faces. Chris, Sam, and I never ever hung out together. Sam was the typical Barbie. Blonde curly hair with the baby blue eyes. Sam looked sweet but was a two timer. She talked about everyone behind everyone's back. Most of all, she loved to make fun of Chris and use him for his money. I tried to tell Chris many time but all I get is, "Khole, were fine, your just jealous of her. Stop worrying about us and worry about your self. " Obviously he was love blind.
