How she bleeds
Introduction
Ketnie sat in her room that night, her heart pounding, the tears streaming down her cheeks, and the blood dripping off her wrists. She couldn't take it anymore, the pain of living her life. She had no one left, and she hurt so much inside. Her mind was racing with a thousand different thoughts.
She had finally stopped crying; the blood still falling from her wrist. She took a deep breath and realized it wasn't her time to let go yet. It was midnight and her parents were asleep, as well as her older sister.
She took a piece of a ripped t-shirt, and she quietly walked down the hall into the bathroom. She shut the door, and locked it behind her to make sure nobody had any chance of coming in.
She turned the water on, letting cold water flow from the sink. She let her wrists stay under the water for a few minutes; just letting the water run over them, numbing them. She looked in the mirror as her wrists stayed under the cold water. Her eyes weren't red, they weren't puffy, they were just glassy.
Ketnie was lucky that way, when she cried, there was no way to notice afterwards. Her eyes got watery and glassy, but that's it. She took the two pieces of the t-shirt and wrapped them around her wrists tightly, in hopes that they would finally stop bleeding.
She turned off the water, and slowly walked back to her room. She sat on her bed, and just looked down at her wrists, tied in cloths. She couldn't help but wonder what happened to her. She was only 15, and she already had lost herself to the darkness. She lost the happy little girl she once was. But it didn't happen quickly... it took many years for Ketnie to end up as an angel of darkness, just waiting to shine.
