Now that I'm in college,
I really don't miss high school one bit.
The drama.
Two-faced people.
And I don't even barely talk to anyone I used to because I've moved away from all of it.
The people I fought with and had drama with,
it wasn't worth it in the end.
I wasted most of my high school years worrying about things that didn't matter in the end.
For all of you high schoolers and younger,
dont worry.
It really does get better.

This weekend...
My dad hit me.
I moved out.
Im 17.
Graduated high school.
Im not a runaway.
In the state of Texas, you are legal at the age of 17.
He hit me, and what hurt the most,
My mom said, and I quote,
"I've been with him 20 years, and you 18. You're not going to get inbetween us."
Another thing that hurt, the friend that Im living with took me to his work.
I sat down and barely said anything.
Before I left I told him I loved him.
He didnt say it back.
He doesnt regret it.
And it was all over something that never happened...
My friends were sitting next to me when it happened.
A man should NEVER lay a hand on a woman,
NO MATTER WHAT.
Im on my own.
Other than the friends that are by my side.
Please be one of those friends.
Because right now,
I could use all the friends I can have.
It's hard to stay strong.
