People don't play sports because it's fun.
Ask any athlete, most of them ~~hate it~~,
but they couldn't imagine their life without it.

I know that every one on witty has different opinions on gay marrige.
Here's what I think.
My boyfriend isNick.
(For this purpose we're calling him Nicole)
Say we don't get married, and suddenly I get very sick.
I'm in the hospital dying, and they need to do emergency surgery.
Nicole can't give her consent because we're not married.
Then I have to wait for this desperatly needed surgery longer than necessary, because she is not my wife.
That's bologna.
Now, if Nick and I were together and got married, he would be able to give consent.
Because we're married.
I'd want him there to tell the doctors to go on with the surgery and hold my hand the entire way.
Gay people can't have that, because they're not married.
And I don't think that's fair.
That being said, I also don't think its fair for gay people to be treated as minorities.
They're just people. I bet that if you met a gay person, half the time you wouldn't be able to tell.
I'm not trying to shove my opinion down people's throats,
but it's just something to think about,
If you were dying no matter what you'd want your partner there with you.

Miranda's POV
"I like you a lot too Ryan."
The next thing I knew,
Ryan had me in his arms and his lips brushed softly against mine.
It was like they were made for eachother,
I could litterly feel the fireworks.
I know that sounds so over used but it was true.
I've never felt this way before.
It was perfect.

I just kissed her.
I don't know what came over me.

She did say she liked me

"Come on Miranda, I'll walk you home" I said as we were drying off from the water.
I started walking in a direction that wasn't exactly the best way to take home.
"Where are you going Ryry?" Miranda asked.
"You'll see MandaPanda"
Hah, that will show her for making pet names...
I reached my hand for hers and took it in to mine.
Even though it was dark outside you could faintly see her cheeks turn bright red.
She was so cute.
Miranda's POV
Ryan and I were walking down the beach hand and hand.
It would be a perfect time to tell him I had feelings for him
but then again, why would like me..
Every body hates me..
but he's holding my hand.

This was not funny at all.
Where ever I looked it was just water.
I couldn't take it.
I just was with her to see if she was ok.
Now she could be dead and it's all my fault.
How would I explain this to her parents?

Miranda's POV
Ryan kept walking super close to me.
Like he was afraid I would vanish into thin air.
I'm not going to lie.. It was kind of wierd.
I mean, I guess Ryan and I are friends, but I just met this kid.
Also, why would this good looking guy want to talk to me.
I am the most hated girl in school.
I walked over to the water and stuck my feet in.
It was still warm. All that I wanted to do right now was swim.
I think I can trust Ryan enough to know he wouldn't try anything.
"Let's go swimming!" I squealed.
"What?"
"You know, its like running kind of, but in water." I responded with a laugh.
"Miranda, I know what swimming is." He chuckled.
"Then lets go now!"
"I don't have a bathing suit" he said.
"Me either"
Ryan's POV
Miranda took her shirt off, revealing her pink zebra sports bra.
Then pulled her basketball shorts off and went swimming in booty shorts.
She dove right in, without a care in the world.
"Were you like a swimmer or something?" I asked.
"Nope"
"Diver?"
"Nope"
"Then what's with the water fetish?"
"It feels good!"
I stripped down to my boxers and hopped in with her.
She was right, the salt water here did feel really good.
Miranda started swimming farther out, the waves were about a foot over our heads.
I swear I turned around for a half of a second, but when I looked back I couldn't find Miranda.
I got really woried.
It's like I could feel the weight come down on my chest when I couldn't find her.

Ryan's POV
"Dad. Address. Now." I basicly screamed.
"Woah Ryan, calm down, I mean, she's probably pretty but you know..."
"Dad come on! This is really important!"
"Ok geez.. The Kane's live three doors to the right"

I ran out the door as fast as I could.
I rang Miranda's door knob.
A beautiful woman answered.
"I don't want to give a donation" She said.
"No. I don't want a donation, I'm looking for a Miranda Kane"
"tskk. MIRANDA, a boy is here to see you" She shouted.
Slowly a face appeared from behind a wall, she looked scared.
Then the rest of her small frail body came towards me.
"Thanks mommy, I can handle this boy" She said quietly.
Miranda's POV
"What can I do for you Ryan?" I asked.
I was scared of him for some reason.
"I just wanted to see if you were ok, I went looking for you behind the soccer field but you weren't there. I got worried and drove all around town and I couldn't find you" He sighed.
"God I'm glad your ok"
Tears started falling from my face.
If only he knew how not ok I was.
He pulled me into a hug.
It felt so..safe.
So not like the other boys earlier.
So why did I find myself pushing him away?

Chapter 5
Miranda's POV
"If you tell anyone about this then next time we will just kill you" The tall boy said.
I got up, put my clothes on and ran out of there as fast as I could.
I turned left onto the sidewalk, even though I had no idea where I was going.
I walked around for a good hour until i found my way back to school.
I started walking towards the general direction I believed my house was in.
In about ten minutes I was home.
"Hi honey your home late" My mother said cheerfully.
"Yeah, I'm gonna go to my room, call me when dinners ready"
I sat there and cried.
I didn't stop crying.
This pain just wasn't going away.
I kept replaying it over and over in my head.
The entire thing scared the crap out of me.
Then my mind filled with questions.
Did they use a condom?
Am I pregnant?
Who would be the dad?
Why me?
Why anyone?
Ryans POV
I drove home in my white and red mustang.
I looked all around town and I couldn't find Miranda anywhere.
This could either be really good or really bad..

"Ryan, you know a family moved in a few doors down not too long ago"
"Yea?"
"Yea, they have a daughter your age, I was talking to the dad this morning"

Miranda's POV
A group of boys stood around in a clump.
There was mabye around seven of them
They all looked my way and started walking towards me.
We finally met in the middle.
"We heard your experienced" One boy from my English class said.
"What do you mean" I asked.
"In bed" They all responded together.
I'm screwed.
I started to run away from them.
They ran faster.
I screamed for someone to hear me.
No one did.
One of them grabbed hold of my ankle and brought me to the ground.
Another one taped my arms together so i wouldn't get loose.
They threw me in the trunk of the boy from English class's jeep.
This was not going to end well.
Ryan's POV
Miranda was taking a really long time talking to whoever behind the soccer field.
I walked towards the field, not spying or anything, I just wanted to make sure she was ok.
I walked under the bleechers and looked for her, I didn't find her..
But I did find condoms.
