Summer;
Expectation: having the time of my life; staying outside all day and coming home late, pulling all nighters and being with friends 24/7.
Reality: staying inside till late, and leaving voice-mails of one direction on my mom's phone since she wouldn't answer, and having one direction sessions on youtube till 2 am.

I should just stop expecting so much from my friends, especially my guy friends. I shouldn't expect them to be spontaneous just to make my day bright, even though i do that for them. I shouldn't expect them to text me for most of the day just to see if everything is alright, even though i do that for them. I shouldn't expect them to surprise me with a visit and have a random hang out session, even though i would do that for them if i had a car/way to get there. I shouldn't expect them to take out any part of their day to pay attention to me, even though i do that for them. I shouldn't expect them to remember my birthday, and stay up 'til midnight to call/come over and sing happy birthday to me, even though i do that for them. I shouldn't expect them to get me gifts for holidays, even though i do that for them when i have extra money. I shouldn't expect them to be there with me while i go through my "darkest hours," EVEN THOUGH I DO THAT FOR THEM.
I JUST CAN'T WIN.
All I want is a best friend who will do all those things with me, and much more, WITHOUT me scheduling every damn thing, or demanding/threatening them! Is that too much to ask..?
