One of my classmates in high school had leukemia, and he was really depressed after his first round of chemo when he came to school with no hair. When they found out about it, all 70+ members of the varsity football team shaved their heads too. Their yearbook picture is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. GMH

At my college graduation everyone is allowed to take a loved one with them as they walk across the stage. The last girl to walk across held the arm of her 90 year old grandpa. As they crossed the stage the chancelor read her grandfathers name. He graduated 60 years ago but didn't get to walk his own graduation because he was fighting in WWII. GMH.

A boy was dying of cancer and needed an expensive brain surgery, but his family, broke and desperate, couldn't afford it. His 8 yr old took sister Tess took her piggy bank savings to a pharmacist in order to buy a 'miracle'. it just so happens that the right man witnessed the little girl's tears at the pharmacy counter: a neurosurgeon. He performed the surgery for free. GMH.

A long time ago, I was on the verge of committing suicide when a guy came to the roof to have lunch. He saw me climbing over the railing and asked me to share his lunch with him. After receiving my puzzled look, he explained, "everyone should die happy. or at least with a full stomach." We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last month. GMH.

A little girl was dying of cancer and her younger brother had a match for the bone marrow she needed. The doctors told him it was a matter of life and death. After he had the surgery, he asked the doctors how long he had to live. He thought if he gave his bone marrow to let his sister live he would die, but he did it anyway. GMH

Cancer claimed my daughter's life 3 years ago. Just a few weeks ago I attended what would have been her high school graduation. When the valedictorian and salutatorian, her friends, rose to give their speech, tears poured down my face. They dedicated their graduation to my daughter. GMH.

A boy in my sister's high school lost his mother to suicide this year. The Christmas gifts he is buying his little brothers are essentials like socks and underwear. He was sad one day because his little brothers are asking for a Wii, which he can't afford. My sister bought the game system for the boy to give to his brothers. Her selflessness GMH

My uncle volunteers as a Santa every year.
Today, a little girl came up and said "I want food for my baby brother" who was in his mother's arms nearby. When they left, a man behind them, with four kids of his own, took $100 from his wallet and insisted that she had dropped it. Holiday spirit GMH.

Three days ago, my best friend died.
Two days ago, I found that she was an organ donor.
One day ago, I heard that a nine year old boy now had her heart.
Today, I met that nine year old boy. He told me that because he had my best friend's heart, he'd be my best friend now. My best friend and him GMH.
