   Never Gone
   Chapter 1
   "Attention students of Blue Valley High," the principal began on the intercom.
   "It appears that one of our classmates has gone missing.
   I'm sure all of you are failiar with Madison Reigner.
   She went missing last Friday.
   For those of you that may have any information on where Madison is, I ask that you please report to the office immediately."
   Hannah went ridged in her seat. Madison's missing?
   It couldn't be. She'd just seen her the other day?!
   Hannah tried to process the thoughts racing through her head.
   She'll probably be back any day. After all it hasn't been long that she's been missing.
   She's probably with Tyler somewher. That's it.
   She probably got in a big fight with her mom and Tyler took her to their dad's house.
   That's what happened. She was sure of it.
   Bing! Bing! Bing!
   The bell interruped her thoughts.
   Hannah left the classroom in a daze.
   "Hey, cutie." Bridge, her boyfriend put his arm around her.
   "Hey," she said looking away.
   Hannah and Bridge were the power couple of Blue Valley High.
   They were both blonde and beautiful. Bridge was the quarterback on the football team.
   Hannah was the co-captain of the cheer team.
   Madison was the captain.
   Hannah and Madison had been best friends since 4th grade.
   "You okay?" Bridge asked. Hannah gave him a faint smile before replying.
   "Fine," she said before reaching up to kiss him.
   Bridge rapped his hands around her waist hugging her closer.
   "Hannah! Practice starts soon! Hurry up!"
   Zoey pulled on Hannah's arm.
   Zoey was another cheerleader. She wasn't as pretty, or smart as Hannah,
   but that was okay with her.
   Hannah gave Bridge one kiss goodbye before sauntering off to cheer practice.
   . . . . . . .
   When Hannah finally got home she plopped onto her bed.
   All she could think about was Madi.
   No. She was at her Dad's. No more to think about.
   But in her heart she knew that's not what happened.
   Hannah pulled her sleek, blonde hair into a ponytail, and walked into her tiny kitchen.
   In the droor, there were painkillers from when she broke hair wrist last year.
   Those would help her get to sleep, she knew it.
   Then she wouldn't have to think about Madi anymore.

   Preface
   Madison Reigner sat on the bleechers, waiting for her mother to pick her up.
   She was probably still at work... as always.
   Madison's mother was never home. Never around.
   Her brother, Tyler, was always the one to take care of her.
   Make her food, help her with homework, give her rides places.
   And now her mother wanted to pick her up to make up for being an absent parent.
   Her mother was a doctor, so she made lots of money.
   She would buy Madison and Tyler clothes, iPods, and anything else they desired,
   trying to make up for everything.
   But this one time, when she tries to be a good mother, she fails. Again.
   Madison checked her phone to see the time. 6:37.
   Practice had ended two hours ago.
   She gave out an irritated sigh.
   "Why aren't you home? It's getting late."
   Madi jerked around to see who was there.
   It was the football coach, Coach Raye.
   "Ohh, you scared me! My mom's just running a bit late. She'll be here any second."
   "Why can't your brother take you?" he asked.
   "He's with my dad this weekend."
   Coach Raye ruffled his hair, "I see. Do you need a ride home?"
   Madison shifted uncomfortably.
   Why not? He was a teacher, whom had coached her brother for 3 years now.
   "Um, sure." she mumbled.
   He guided her to his dark blue Sedan, and they drove away.

   Airplanes
   Chapter 1
   I fixed my hair in the mirror and checked for panty lines.
   I was wearing skinny jeans and grey hoodie with converse.
   My dark brown fell over my shoulder and my green eyes sparkled under the dark brown eyeliner.
   I felt pretty, and smiled in the square mirror. In the mirrow, my single mother sat watching some reality show eating Lucky Charms.
   "Hey, Mom, do you care if I go on a walk?" I said sweetly, hoping she would say yes. "Bring a coat," she mumbled.
   I gave her a toothy smile, and went back into my room.
   The fire escape was covered in snow. But I didn't care.
   I slid the window open, and stepped onto the metal staircase scaling the building. Outside many New-Yorkers were walking everywhere, yelling at each other, walking into McDonald's, and talking on their cell phones.
   "Ahh," I released and smiled. New York is my favorite place in the world. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Unfortunately, soon I would have to go to Malibu for Christmas break to be with my father.
   He's a cool guy, but I would miss New York too much.
   I would miss Marcus, my boyfriend, too much.
   I would miss all of my friends too much.
   My life in New York is so perfect. But apparently my life in Malibu could be just as perfect.. maybe better.
   But how could I have known that?
