Toy Soldiers
Intro
When I was 8 I had no idea what had been going on in my family, the fights, abuse and secrets happening right before my eyes, I was just too young to see it.
It was the summer before I went to secondary school that my life started tearing apart, when I found everything out bit by bit.
My name is Lauren willows and this is my story.
"Shut up! This was never meant to happen, you know that!" My mum screamed to my dad from inside the kitchen, I was sitting on the sofa cuddled in pillows, listening to their words.
" This is all your fault, you knew what was coming yet you did nothing about it!"
"Shut u-" Mum said before i heared a crash and a scream.
"YOU KNEW IT AND YOU DID NOTHING ABOUT IT!" My dad roared.
I ran into the kitchen to find my mum on the floor, her hands in her face.
"Mummy!" I screamed. "Daddy, whats wrong with mummy?"
"Get out Lauren, now!" Daddy shouted.
"Mummy?"
"Lauren, just go please. I'll come to your room in a few minutes." She said so I got up and went up stairs to my room.
I didn't know what they were shouting about but I was yet to find out and I was yet to know that that secret would lead to death, hatred and anger.
