He's Still My Hero
Chapter 2
We were all supposed to meet at Ty's house at 5. I arrived a few minutes early but to my surprise everyone was already there.
I was greeted simultaneously by all of them, "Hey, Arianna."
I replied, "Hey."
I saw that Kaden was staring at me and I really didn't know why, but as I met his gaze, I didn't want to look away anytime soon. The feeling he gave me when he looked at me was beyond description. It was a sense of relief but yet I felt nervous, it made me so happy but yet almost scared all at the same time. He then smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back.
Finally Ty broke the silence, "Let's get to work. What are we going to do for the video?"
We all collaborated with tons of ideas and finally started to film some scenes. We had to do the video of certain wars.
There were 3 boys and 2 girls in the group. The boys decided to gang up on us. They started hammering us with marshmellows because they had all got marshmellow guns form Ty's basement. Both me and Lacey started sprinting away from them. I said, "Come on! This isn't fair! You just wait..." Then I started cracking up laughing which made me not be able to run anymore. I was getting hit left and right until Kaden pulled me into a huge bear hug while screaming, " Don't worry... I'll protect you."
My emotions started going crazy. This was the 1st time we had hugged since the breakup. It felt so good to be in his arms again but he was sending me so many mixed signals.
Ty started saying, "Awww," as the rest of the group joined him. Ty knew I still had feelings for him. Was he trying to ruin them by making it awkward? But it wasn't awkward at all.
Finally, it started to get dark so we couldn't work on the video. We said our goodbyes and headed home.
As I sat in the car my dad said," You seem happy."
And for the 1st time in a while, I actually was. The only thing that could make me any happier was going to depend on one thing, more like one person... and that could only be Kaden.
