    Part 3 Chapter 3
As soon as the ref blew his whistle signaling that the game was over I ran into Jeremy’s arms. “I love you.” I whispered. Jeremy pulled back looking me in the eyes, “You were amazing out there. You made 3 goals. I’m in love with a girl who maybe better at soccer than me.” I smiled and kissed him, “It’s not a discussion. I am better than you.” Just than Faith came up and grabbed my shoulders, I spun around giving her a big hug. “You were amazing Faith!” She smiled, “I was amazing, wasn’t I?” Jeremy and I both started laughing. “Anywho come on time to party with the family!” Faith said in happy voice. Jeremy gave me a quick kiss and said, “Well, I guess I’ll go.” I rolled my eyes, “Um, party with the family. Family. You’re family Jeremy just like Faith.” Faith smiled warmly at me. “Yeah Jeremy, come on, it will be fun!” Jeremy smiled, “That’s so touching. I think I might start crying.” I punched him in the arm. “Oh that moment passed looks like I won’t be shedding any tears today.” I rolled my eyes and hooked arms with him. Faith, Jeremy, and I walked over to where Faith’s and my family were sitting. “Let me just call my parents real quick and tell them where I am.” Jeremy said. I nodded and gave him some privacy. I walked over to my parents and sister, who were showering me with compliments. Once they got the whole ‘you were amazing’ thing out of their heads I asked them if Jeremy could come home with us, my parents nodded their heads. I smiled I hopped over to Jeremy and wrapped my arms around his waist. “Hey you ready?” Jeremy looked at me nervously. I frowned, “Is there something wrong?” He shook his head, “No it’s fine, let’s go.” I caught his arm, “You’re nervous to meet my family, aren’t you?” He shrugged, “I met you’re family, just not you know well…” I smiled, “You’ll be fine, and besides I still need to meet your parents.” Jeremy smiled, “Good point.” He gave me a quick kiss and locked arms with me. From where we were standing I could see Faith playing with her daughter, Sarah. Faith looked genuninly happy. I guess you have to have bad things happen before the good things can come. I smiled and walked over to my family, Sophia walked over to Jeremy, “Hi, I think we met, but only sorta, cause you know I had a concussion.” Jeremy nodded, “Yeah I remember, you’re Sophia right.” She nodded, “Yepp and you are Jeremy. So anyway I have a question for you.” Jeremy gave me a nervous glance, I just shrugged. Sophia got a mischievous smile, “Are you a garbage can? Cause your girlfriend sure is trashy!” I elbowed Sophia sharply in the ribs, “Haha you’re very funny.” I said dryly. Jeremy and Faith were laughing uncontrollably. Faith gave Sophia a high-five. I gave them both icy stares. Jeremy put his arm around me, “Oh come on babe, it was funny!” I rolled my eyes and looked at my parents who looked very confused. Once the laughing died down, we headed to our cars to go to dinner, at my favorite restaurant. I smiled; it was going to be a good night.

    Part 3 Chapter 2
At the end of my last period I walked out expecting to see Jeremy like usual, but I couldn’t find him. I called out his name but he just wasn’t there. Faith came up to me and whispered harshly in my ear, “Oh your poor boyfriend didn’t show up today? Pity. Looks like he found someone better than you.” I rolled my eyes and just walked stiffly to my locker. I shoved my books into my locker and swiftly looked around one last time. He wasn’t there. Faith was right today is a great day, I said sarcastically. I violently grabbed my soccer bag and slammed my locker, causing many students to turn their heads. I just kept a straight face and walked swiftly to the locker room. When I walked in everyone turned to look at me, “Um well this is a first.” Bianca said. I nodded my head and plastered a smile on my face, “Yeah it’s the last game I decided to change with you guys today.” I lied. Julie smirked and said, “Finally get bored of stripping in front of Jeremy?” Faith just threw her uniform at her, “Shut up.” A gave her a week smile and quickly changed into my soccer uniform. I was just tying my last cleat when Faith linked her arm with mine, “Come on!” She said in a cheerful voice. I groaned and stood up, “Yeah.” When we walked out someone put their hand on my eyes, blocking my vision. “Hey!” I yelled. Jeremy’s voice replied, “No can do.” I shoved him violently but he didn’t loosen his grip. “You think you can ditch me and then just attack me?” I said accusingly. Faith nudged me, “Ease up Amy, now walk.” I sighed and did what she said. After about 5 minutes of walking Faith said, “Ok we’re here. Ready on three.” Jeremy yelled, “One… Two… Three!” and removed his hands from my eyes. When I could see again, I realized I was in the parking lot. Faith whispered in my ear, “Now turn around.” I spun around on my feet and gasped at what I saw. In front of me my mom, dad, and sister were standing in front of me. “Surprise!” My family yelled. I burst into tears and ran into my sister’s arms. “I missed you so much.” Then I repeated with my parents. It was a bunch of hugs, kisses, and tears. After a while Jeremy said, “Yo, Amy, Faith, you guys gotta go like now!” We both looked at each other and nodded. “Good luck.” My family said in unison. I smiled and sprinted off with Faith to the field. While I was running it all clicked. Aunt Liz, Uncle Ryan, and Faith’s chirpiness, my parents not getting in contact with me, and Jeremy not showing up. This whole thing was planned. They did this for me. I smiled to myself and took position on the field. Looking up slowly and said my ritual saying to Jack. When the ref blew his whistle I was in game mode, and no one was going to stop me.
Fave\comment! So sorry I haven’t posted in awhile it’s just my exam week :\ I have four more tests stressful! So I hope you guys like this chapter :)

    Part 3 Chapter 1
I woke up with my eyes still puffy from crying. Today was the day of my last soccer game, and also the 7th day I had gone without cutting. It was the hardest week of my life, but it was worth it. A week. I had to survive until the end of the school year. I was far off from my goal. I sighed and slowly got dressed, not even bothering to put any makeup on. Faith was in the bathroom yelling about not having any toothpaste; I walked over to her and slapped a new tube into her hand. She smiled, “That was fast.” I nodded my head and walked over to my mirror. I groaned at the sight of my hair and sloppily put it into a messy bun on the top of my head. I saw Faith looking at me from the bathroom, so I put a very fake smile on as I glanced one last time at the mirror. She smiled, totally oblivious that I was faking the whole happiness thing. I picked up my phone and sighed heavily at the sight of no messages from my family. It had been one week since I heard from them; they promised they would talk to me every day. They kept that promise, until now. Maybe I was being paranoid and overly sensitive but I didn’t care; a promise is a promise. I slid my phone into my pocket as I began walking downstairs. My family, hadn’t even shown up for one game, and now it was my last game and I knew they were no shows. I rolled my eyes and put on the most cheerful smile I could manage. “Morning Aunt Liz, Uncle Ryan.” They gave me happy smiles, a little too happy. I shook my head, again with being paranoid. “So are you ready for the big game tonight?” I nodded my head, “Yes! I can’t wait!” Aunt Liz nodded enthusiastically and said, “Well eat up, you’re going to need it.” I gave her a frown, “I thought Faith told you that we were going to stop at Tim Hortons before school?” Aunt Liz sighed, “No she didn’t.” I gave her an apologetic look, “I’m sorry we can eat here if you want…” She shook her head, “No that’s fine.” I nodded and yelled up to Faith, “Yo Faith come on!” I could hear her running down the stairs and approach me, “Ready?” I nodded my head. Faith smiled big, “Today is going to be great!” she said in a bubbly tone. Now I was confused, it was too early for her to happy, and she normally didn’t get this pumped for a soccer game. I bit my lip and silently told myself to stop being paranoid. Faith and I walked to our car, “So why did we skip breakfast?” she said turning to me. I sighed, “I just need to get out for a while, can we just grab some coffee?” Faith nodded and started the engine, “So how did Aunt Liz say yes so fast?” I looked down, ashamed that I had lied to her, “Well, I told her that we made plans…” Faith looked like she was going to say something but she just shook her head. In less than five minutes we pulled up to the drive through at Starbucks. Faith ordered a medium mocha cappuccino; I ordered a large black coffee with an extra shot of caffeine. Faith rolled her eyes, “Well someone’s tired.” I sighed, “Yep, really tired.” What I forgot to mention to her why I was so tired. I was up till 2am crying my head off. Same thing right? I looked down at my phone, one text. I opened it, hoping it would be parents or sister, it wasn’t. Jeremy’s name popped up, underneath it read: I love you, beautiful. A real smiled crossed my lips, I quickly wrote back: Love you too. See you soon. I closed my phone and took a sip of my coffee. It was hot and bitter, but I liked how the it stung my throat and the taste.
Fave\comment... So again, sorry how short the last chapter was, but this ones long :) Sooo any thoughts on whats going to happen next??? Alright i might write one more but i really should study for my mid terms...... love you guysss :)))

    Part 2 Chapter 47
That night, when I went to bed, I wasn’t thinking of anything other than losing Faith and Jeremy. Why couldn’t they understand that I had made a mistake. A mistake that turned into an obsession. I couldn’t help it, but now I have an option, either quit or leave. I knew they were doing it to protect me, but I couldn’t help but to feel a bit of abandonment. Faith is like a sister to me, and I love Jeremy but could they really do this to me? It was the bitter truth, but still… So I had to make a choice, stop cutting and stay or keep cutting and leave. Easy right? Wrong. Trying to stop an addiction? Yeah it’s harder than hell.
Oh heyyyy this is sorta embarrassing on how short it is… I just want to end it here so I can move on to part 3. So with that being said, I’m sorry it’s short and another chapter will be up by the end of the night. I love you guysssss <3

**important read bolded part at the end when you're done reading**
I picked up my phone to text Jeremy and Faith, but Emma just shook her head, “Call them.” I sighed and took a deep breath. I dialed Faith’s number first. After about 2 rings she picked up, “Hey Amy, do you need a ride home?” she said in a cheerful voice. “Um, sorta, but can you just come here.” Faith paused and then said, “Sure, be there in a few minutes.” The hand that I was calling with was shaking but I continued, “Could you pick up Jeremy too?” She didn’t seem to notice the nervousness to voice, “Yeah sure. See you in 15, bye.” The she hung up. I looked up at Emma, she nodded her head. One more call. I dialed Jeremy’s number. He pick up right after the first ring, “Hey babe.” He said in a seductive voice. “Faith is coming to pick you up, ok.” Jeremy sounded confused, “What?” I sighed, “Faith is coming. Be ready. I’ll see you soon. I love you.” Then I hung up before the tears began to fall. I looked up once more at Emma, “Please don’t make me do this.” I begged. She shook her head, “You can’t lie to them. They are trying to help you, they deserve to know.” I looked down; coming here was a bad idea. I’m hurting more people then I was before. I put my knees up to my chin and silently waited for their arrival.
After about 10 minutes, they walked in with nervous faces. Emma told them to sit down and get comfortable. But to be honest, I wasn’t really there. I was trying to focus on some distant happy memory. “Amy?” Emma said patting my back. “Wha- oh.” I said getting snapped back to reality. “Hi, you guys.” It was a stupid greeting, under the circumstances, but it’s not like it could do any worse. “Amy, Emma said you had something to tell us.” Jeremy said in a soothing voice. Faith sat on the edge of her chair, glancing at me nervously. “I need you guys to know that I love you, so much, and I’m so, so sorry.” Faith locked eyes with me and I could tell that the truth hit her like a wave, “You- You- you did it again… didn’t you.” I looked down, ashamed. “How could you do this again Amy?” Faith said, tearing up. Jeremy looked confused, “What’s happening? What did you do Amy?” Faith stared at me and spat, “Yeah Amy, tell him what you did again.” I looked up at him and shook my head, tears falling down my cheeks. Jeremy wiped a tear off of my cheek, “What happened, Amy.” I shook my head and pulled my shirt above my hip, exposing four neat cuts. Jeremy looked up at me, his eyes, brimming with tears. For a moment Faith and Jeremy just stared at me. I broke the silence saying, “Someone, say something.” Jeremy stood up and looked at me, “You broke our promise. We were just trying to help you, but you didn’t care did you? Well guess what I don’t want my girlfriend to kill herself! What part of that don’t you get?” I just sat there silently with my head down, Jeremy pushed my chin up to force me to look at him, “We can’t trust you. You’re hurting everyone. Do you not care? I love you Amy, but you have to stop.” Faith butted in, “Stop doing it, or we’ll send you away to some facility, to make sure you don’t do it again.” The tears kept coming and coming, more tears than I ever wanted to see. Emma spoke up for the first time since I told them, “Amy, why don’t you go sit outside for a while, well I talk to them.” I silently nodded my head and walked into the waiting room. The receptionist gave me a sympathetic look, “You know I used to be just like you.” Then she pushed up her sleeves, showing me a bunch of white fading scars. “You can stop, just like I did. I haven’t cut in about 5 years.” A small smile fell on my lips, “Thanks.” She nodded then went back to work. After a few minutes Faith and Jeremy came over to me, “Come on, let’s take you home.” I was taken aback by the calmness in their voices. I nodded my head. When we got into the car I had to break my silence, “What’s going on?” Faith looked at Jeremy and nodded, he took a deep breath and said, “Amy, if there is one more cut or anything on you by the end of the school year, we’re sending you to a medical facility.”

    Part 2 Chapter 44
When I got home Faith and Jeremy were both waiting for me. I walked over to them clutching at the cramp in my stomach. I must have ran like four miles. “So good to know that you came home.” Faith said. I rolled my eyes, “How long was I gone?” Jeremy looked down at his watch, “About two hours.” I looked down, ok I was defiantly ran more than four miles. “Amy, you look like hell… what did you do? Run a marathon?” She asked sarcastically. I shrugged my shoulders, “Probably.” Jeremy put his arm around me, “Amy, you only run like that when you’re mad, you basically just got excepted into your dream college… so what’s wrong?” Faith gave me a sympathetic look and said, “Jeremy it’s not that…” Jeremy gave me a confused look. I cleared my throat, “It’s my parents. They’ve never supported me. It just brought up old memories.” I said in a shaky voice. Jeremy grabbed my hand, “You’re parents love you, they just want what’s best for you.” I shook my hand away, “So tearing down my dreams is what’s ‘best for me’?” Jeremy grabbed my chin and forced me to look at him, “They think that’s what’s best for you. You following you’re dreams is what’s best for you.” I nodded my head, but I was still hurting. My parents didn’t even come to any of my games. I know I still had one game left, but it really was stupid to hope. I sighed and walked into my house, along with Faith, and Jeremy. “So you guys want to start on our homework?” I asked, grabbing my book bag. Jeremy looked at me and said, “Um no, you have a date with the shower first. I mean damn girl you smell.” I shoved him and rolled my eyes, “Well you’re mean.” Jeremy kissed me on the forehead, “love you too.” I rolled my eyes, once again, and walked up the stairs to the bathroom. I started the shower and stepped in. When I looked down at the ledge, next to my shampoo I could see a razor. Faith must have forgotten to put hers away. I looked down at my legs that really needed to my shaved. I shook my head, Faith confiscated any sharp object that I could use to self injure, so shaving was out of the option. I put the razor down and tried to ignore it, but by the end of the shower, I couldn’t keep my eyes off of it. Cutting is an addiction. It controls your mind. I picked it up and cut two neat cuts on my hips. As soon as I saw he first bright crimson of my blood, I dropped the razor and began to cry. I broke the promise to the two most important people in my life. I slid down and just sat there crying. After a while Jeremy knocked on the door, “Yo Amy, what are you doing in there? I was joking, you didn’t smell that bad.” A stab of guilt clenched my stomach, “I’m almost done, be patient…” I looked down at my ankles and hips, I was a liar. I liar with a big secret.

    Part 2 Chapter 43
As usual Jeremy was waiting for me at my locker at the end of the day. I tried my best to stay calm but I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and it didn’t help that Rachel was in my last class. “Hey how are you holding up?” Jeremy asked while kissing me lightly on my cheek. I shoved my books in my locker, and grabbed my gym bag, “What does it look like?” I retorted. Jeremy brushed away a hair that had gotten loose from my pony tail, “Amy, calm down. You’re an amazing soccer player, just because you know that University of Miami is going to be here doesn’t mean a thing.” I looked at him, “This is my dream college, what if I screw it up?” Jeremy smiled, “If you screw it up I’ll personally go on the field and give you a pep-talk.” I smiled, “Thanks.” Jeremy nodded his head and handed me my uniform, and waited outside of the bathroom. When I came out Jeremy asked, “So why don’t you ever change in the locker room?” I rolled my eyes like the answer was obvious, “If I change in the bathroom, I get to see you more.” Jeremy smiled, “That’s sweet.” I nodded my head, “I know.” Jeremy put his arm around me and whispered in my ear, “Open up my book bag.” I shoved him, “You have hands don’t you?” He turned to me and gave me puppy dog eyes, “Please open my book bag.” I rolled my eyes, “Fine.” I grabbed his book bag and opened the zipper, inside was a gift wrapped in soccer ball wrapping paper. I looked up at Jeremy, “You didn’t have to get me a gift.” I whispered. Jeremy rolled his eyes, “You haven’t even opened it yet.” I looked down and pulled back the wrapping paper. Inside were two white shin guards, one had the word FOREVER and the other had the word LOVED written in sharpie. The shin guards matched my cleats, which still said, LOVE FOREVER. I looked up at Jeremy, “You didn’t have to do that, thank you.” I said while pulling him into a giant hug. “You have love forever written on your cleat, and I thought, you know, since what happened, you should know that you’re forever loved.” I gave him a big kiss, “I love it, but I love you even more, thank you.” Jeremy smiled, “I thought so.” He said smugly while picking me up. “Jeremy,” I giggled, “what are you doing?” He smiled, “I’m carrying you out to the field, it will be one heck of an entrance.” I giggled even more and kissed him on the cheek, “I love you.”
As the ref blew his whistle, signally that it was the end of the game, the team piled on top of Faith and I. We had won the game 4-0 to one of the hardest teams in the Varsity A league. I had shot all four goals and Faith had saved everything. The game was amazing. After everyone congratulated us we walked over to Jeremy. Jeremy didn’t say anything; he just gave me a long slow kiss on the lips. We both didn’t want to pull away, but Faith cleared her throat and said, “Back to planet Earth you two.” Reluctantly we both pulled away. “So do you guys want to go get something to eat?” Jeremy and Faith both nodded their heads, but coach Burns yelled across the field to us, “Faith, Amy Come over here!” I gave Jeremy a quick kiss on the cheek and said, “Be right back.” Faith and I ran across the field to where coach was. Next to him was a lean man in his mid 40’s. Coach looked at us and said, “This is the scout from University of Miami, he saw you girls play and he wanted to speak to you both.” My heart started pounding hard. I tried to keep as calm as possible. The said cleared his throat and said, “I am Mr. Hines, from the University of Miami. I saw both of you play, and I just wanted to tell you that you both are amazing. Now I know we still need to look at your records and grades, but I’m telling you there is almost a 99% chance that you will get into our college.” Faith I looked at each other with the biggest smiles on our faces, “Thank you so much!” we said together, “No thank you, now if I can talk to your parents about our school, and give them some information about it…” A bad case of Déjà vu washed over me. This has happened before, when I was accepted to St. Sebastian’s. My parents weren’t there, and my parents still aren’t here. I looked down unsure what to do. Faith looked at me and then said, “She’s staying with my aunt, uncle, and me.” Then she pointed over to them. Mr. Hines told us thank you then walked toward Aunt Liz and Uncle Ryan. Faith looked at me, “Are you ok?” I nodded my head, “Yeah, tell Jeremy I’m sorry, I’m going to go run, I’ll meet you home.” Faith looked like she was going to say something but she didn’t. I turned and ran out the gate, so yeah, I guess you could say I was running away from my problems.

I woke up with knots twisting in my stomach. Today was the second to last game, and I knew that a scout was going to be there. I took in a deep breath and looked at the clock; I had about 20 minutes till the alarm would go off. I smiled; I had 20 minutes of pure privacy. I went into the bathroom and took a long shower. It was nice to not have anyone bug me and ask me questions on how I was feeling for once. By the time the alarm went off I was done with my shower and ready to go to school. Faith just looked at me and rolled her eyes. I smiled, and grabbed my phone and texted Jeremy, wakey wakey you’re my ride to school. Ever since Faith and Jeremy found out that I cut, they made me stop driving. Which I don’t exactly get, but I’m not one to argue. A few minutes later my phone lit up, Be there in 5, if I’m not read this text again :). I rolled my eyes, and went down stairs. Aunt Liz was waiting for me with a giant breakfast laded out in the table. I normally just skip breakfast but Aunt Liz got freak and thought I just do it to be skinny, which isn’t true. I just hate breakfast food, but Aunt Liz takes time to make my breakfast every morning, so I eat it. “Morning.” I said trying to sound cheerful. “Morning, so are you excited for the soccer game tonight?” I plastered a fake smile on my face, “Yes, I’m excited to see how I do.” Which was a complete lie, I was terrified. I quickly ate my breakfast while texting Jeremy. He was trying to calm my nerves, which wasn’t helping at all. I wish it was because I had friggen knives in my stomach. After a while I hear Jeremy, beep his horn to pick Faith and I up. I said goodbye to Aunt Liz and headed outside. This was going to be a long day.
When we got to school Jeremy kissed me goodbye at my locker. “I’ll be waiting for you at the end of the day.” I nodded my head, just then Rachel and Julie walked up to us. “So have you guys heard about who’s coming to the game?” Jeremy stepped in front of me, “No we didn’t and we don’t want to know.” I pushed Jeremy away, its one thing about him worrying about me but he cannot fight my own battles. “Rachel, Faith back off we don’t want to know.” Rachel smiled at me, “University of Miami is coming to the game.” Then she turned and left. I felt like my stomach dropped to the floor. I turned calmly to my locker and shoved my books in. Jeremy put his hand on my shoulder; I just shoved it off, and walked into homeroom. Faith came up to me and gave me a sympathetic look, “They’re jerks ok? Don’t let them ruin your game.” I turned to her, “Faith, this is the college that we need to get into. We have been planning this forever. If I ruin this…” I trailed off and shook my head, I needed to stay calm. “Look, I’m nervous too, but we have to use this information to make us better.” I silently nodded my head, but I didn’t agree because now I knew I would screw up.

    Part 2 Chapter 41
The next week soared by quickly. Well, as quickly as a week can go when you’re going to see a doctor for your mental health problems, but the appointments did work. I haven’t cut in a week, and I have been focusing solely on soccer, Jeremy, and Faith. The only bad thing about this whole thing was that I lost all my privacy. Aunt Liz was in a total state of chaos when she found out, and who could blame her. I tried hard not to worry them, but as the next soccer game came closer and closer I became more agitated. This was the second to last game and there was a 75% chance that a scout from one of my colleges would be there. Emma, the doctor I see, taught me how to channel my anger and grief in a positive away, which I really needed. I knew I had to play the game of my life, no scratch that, the game of what might be my career. So my life went something like this: Wake up. School. Faith. Jeremy. Soccer. Jeremy. Soccer. Doctor appointment. Soccer. Jeremy. Soccer. Faith. Jeremy. Sleep. And then repeat. So I guess you can say I’m a bit exhausted, but it gets my mind off my whole depressed situation.

As soon as I got out of after school detention Jeremy and Faith were waiting to pick me up. “You ready?” Jeremy asked pulling me into a big hug. “Um no not exactly ready, but I don’t have a choice.” Faith rolled her eyes, “Let’s just go already.” I frowned, “Faith I’m really sorry…” I tried to reason with her. “Save it.” She snapped back. Jeremy just grabbed my hand and whispered, “She’ll come around.” I silently nodded my head, while sitting alone in the back seat. When we finally reached Dr. Cane’s office I tried to stall as much as I could, but Jeremy and Faith weren’t falling for it. So finally we got out of the car and walked into the waiting room. I walked up to the receptionist who must have been the lady I talked to on the phone. “I have an appointment with Dr. Cane.” The lady smiled, “Is this Amy Reed?” I smiled back, “Yes.” The lady nodded over to my friends, “Are they here for moral support?” I nodded my head. “You have good friends, now Dr. Cane will be with you any moment.” I nodded my head and sat next to Jeremy. He grabbed my hand and kissed it, “It will be ok, Amy.” After a few minutes a beautiful lady with dark brown hair and eyes came over to us, “Which one is Amy?” she asked. I swallowed, how the hell am I going to feel good about myself when she’s so damn beautiful. “I am.” I said in a shaky voice. “Are these your friends?” I nodded. “So you guys can all come back right now.” We all stood up and went into her back room. It was surprisingly normal. I took a seat in the middle between Faith and Jeremy. Dr. Cane sat right in front of us. She smiled, “So what seems to be the problem?” Jeremy looked up, “Dr. Cane” “Please call me Emma.” Jeremy smiled, “Emma, it was Amy’s idea but you see, I saw her cutting in the bathroom stall at school, and Faith says that she’s knew about it before.” Dr. Cane… Emma gave me a hard look, “That’s very serious.” I nodded my head. “So I guess the question is what brought on all of these acts of violence?” Acts of violence? Really, I wasn’t hurting anyone but myself… I cleared my throat and told her the whole story starting at the very beginning on how my parents not believing in my one goal. Emma sat and listened quietly occasionally nodding her head. When I finished tears were running down my face. My wiped my eyes for a whole lot of questions but no questions came. Instead she asked, “Faith, how does this make you feel?” I could see Faith’s blood shot eyes, “It makes me feeling like it’s my fault. Like I’m failing her. And it kills me that she broke my promise. I can’t live without her.” Emma looked at me, I looked down ashamed, it was all my fault. Then she turned to Jeremy, “How does this make you feel?” He grabbed my hand and looked me straight in the eye, “It kills me. Amy, you’re my world. Without you I’m nothing. You can’t do this to yourself. I mean look at everyone you’re hurting… I love you Amy, but you have to stop.” Then I snapped and broke down in tears. It was a while before anyone said anything. “Amy, you need help.” Faith whispered. “That’s why I’m here.” Emma nodded her head, “Amy, how about we schedule some appointments for you. I would say 4 times a week.” I nodded my head. “You two need to stay close to her, friends are the first step in healing.” Jeremy nudged me, “I guess I might have to spend the night.” I gave him a weak smile and kissed him, “I love you.” I whisered.

    A Price to Pay
    Part 2 Chapter 35
“Baby you were simply amazing out there.” Jeremy said giving me a big kiss. “You think? I mean I messed up a few times and I could have had more shots on goal…” Jeremy shut me up with another kiss. “Amy you won the game 3-0 and you shot all 3 goals. Shut up you were perfect.” I frowned, “Do you think a scout was there?” I said nervously. “I don’t know, but if one was then he probably is amazed by your awesomeness.” I rolled my eyes, “Let’s not go that far…” Jeremy spun me around, “When we practice do I tell you if something you did was bad or that your having a crappy day?” I silently nodded my head, “I will tell you if that happens on the field. And did I say something bad?” I shook my head, “Great so we both know that you were amazing, glad we got that solved.” I felt a smile tugging on the corner of my lips, “Thanks Jer.” He smiled, “Come on let’s go see Faith, she had the game of her life out there.” This time I didn’t disagree with him, Faith saved all the shots on goal, she even saved a penalty kick. “Faith!” I yelled from across the field, “Wait up!” She turned around and waited for me. When I caught up to her she had the biggest smile on her face. “Faith oh my gosh you were amazing out there!” Faith was bouncing on the balls of her feet, “I know! I mean not to brag or anything but I did decent.” I rolled my eyes, “Shut up decent is like letting one shot go in. Great is saving all of them but letting a penalty kick in. Freaken phenomenal is when you save all of them and the penalty kick! Therefore you are freaken phenomenal.” Faith threw her arms around me, “Thanks you Amy.” I smiled, “Anytime.” Jeremy put his arms around the both of us, “I love group hugs!” he said. Faith and I burst out laughing. “You were amazing out there Faith.” Faith tried responding but she was still cracking up, “tha – haha – nks – haha – Jeremy.” He rolled his eyes, “Bye you gigglers, I have to go meet my parents for dinner.” I quickly gave Jeremy a kiss, “Bye Jer.” “Bye Amy.” Faith and I turned and quickly took off our cleats and ran up the bleachers to find Aunt Liz, Uncle Ryan, and Sarah. Once we found them they all told us how good we were and blah blah blah. Once we were done smiling and thanking them Faith took Sarah. “Hey Amy and I were going to grab something to eat. Can Sarah come?” Aunt Liz nodded her head, “Yeah, I have some baby food in her bag.” She said while handing it to Faith. “Thanks. Be home before 9!” Faith yelled over her shoulder. I turned to Sarah, “So where do you want to eat?” I said in my sweet baby voice. “How about McDonalds.” Faith said in her equally sweet baby voice. I nodded I needed something big juicy and totally unhealthy. When we got to our car I took Sarah and put her in her car seat. When I was done I hopped into the car and we were off to McDonalds. When we got there, surprisingly only 3 other people were there, and no one else was in line. Perfect. “How may I help you.” The worker replied in a tired voice. I smiled, “I’ll have a mighty kids meal with the chicken nuggets and fries, yes I would like a toy in it. I would also like a large chocolate milk shake.” The lady glared at me, “And you ma’am” Faith smiled, “Yeah I would like the exact same thing please, but I would also like another milk shake in vanilla in the smallest size you offer.” The lady glared at Faith too, “That would be 16 dollars and 95 cents. Faith and I split the bill, but I gave the lady an extra five dollars. She gave me an odd look, I smiled, “It’s for you, try to smile.” Faith grabbed out food and headed to a table, once the lady was far enough so she couldn’t hear Faith, she started to crack up. “It’s for you, try to smile.” Faith said trying to imitate my voice. I threw a French fry at her, “Oh shut up.”

    A Price To Pay
    Part 2 Chapter 34
After I got on my soccer uniform I looked down at my cleats; the words that Jack wrote in permanent marker still visible. LOVE FOREVER. I guess our forever didn’t last as long as we thought. I raised my head, “I’m going to play for you Jack. I always will.” I murmured. I shook my head. Not now, I need to get pumped for the game. I stuck in my head phones and played ‘My Wish’ by Rascal Flats. I walked out of the locker room and headed for the field, I looked into the stands eyeing anyone who looked important. Coach Burns came over to me, “Want the new of who is here or not here?” I looked down; I needed to play my best, but if I knew someone was here it might mess up my game. I shook my head, “No, thank you.” Coach smiled, “You’re a smart girl.” Good so I did the right choice but that didn’t really make me feel any better. “Amy! Amy!” I turned around, “Hey Bianca.” She smiled, “Did you hear what happened to Julie?” I gave her a questioning glance, “Um no…” I could see she was trying not to smile, “Well she broke her ankle, and she can’t play so that means Faith gets to start, the rest of the season!” she said in an excited squeal. “That’s amazing! Well uhhh I mean horrible for her breaking her ankle….” Bianca smiled, “I’m going to go tell Faith!” I nodded and she sprinted over to Faith who was sitting near the goal post. No friggen way, well I guess everything was playing out well, I thought. I walked over to Jeremy with a big smile on my face. “Hey Amy” he said pulling me into a big hug. “Hey.” I said giving him a kiss. Just then Coach Burns tapped me on the shoulder, “Hey you need to get your head in the game, and Jeremy you need to be the water boy!” he said while giving us both stern looks. I burst out laughing as soon as he turned around. “Water boy? You got to come down here because you agreed to be the water boy?” Jeremy gave me a mock punch in the shoulder, “Oh what I do for love.” He said, “Yeah well you can go fill up my water bottle… water boy.” Jeremy rolled his eyes while I trotted onto the field. Faith came up to immediately, “Did you hear the amazing news?!” I nodded my head, “Congrats Faith!” Faith was bouncing up and down, “I’m nervous can you tell?” I smiled, “Nope you look fine.” I lied. “It’s weird I’m not worried about the scouts I’m just nervous because Sarah’s watching.” She said while pointing over to where her baby, Sarah, and her Aunt and Uncle were sitting. “Faith, Sarah isn’t even one yet. I don’t think she’s going to mind if you have a bad game.” Faith frowned, “Ok it’s about the soccer scouts but I’m trying to get my mind off of it… could you have at least played along?” I put my arms up in defense, “Woah sorry, yeah play good for your infant she really cares.” Faith glared at me and walked away. I smiled, I guess the saying was true; pressure either makes diamonds or bursts pipes.

    A Price to Pay
    Part 2 Chapter 31
A few minutes later Jeremy and I walked back to cars, "Hey Jeremy?" I asked, "Do you wanna come stay at my old house with me? I mean it's getting late and it's sort of a long drive back to your house." This was a big step for me. Late nights at my place reminded me of Jack. "Yeah I would like that... But what about your parents?" I laughed "They can deal with it besides your sleeping on the couch." Jeremy gave me a mock punch in the arm then kissed me on the forehead, "See you soon Amy." We both got in our cars and drove off, with me leading the way. The cemetery, luckily, is only 5 minutes from my old house, but it also crosses the spot where Jack was killed. When I saw the tiny intersection I blasted up my music and sped right through it. When I crossed it I took a giant sigh of relief. I saw Jeremy give me an odd look through my review mirror. I just shrugged and gave him a smile. A few seconds later, I pulled up at my old house. My mom only lives there now because my parents got divorced, but it's pretty big so I'm guessing she's lonely. When Jeremy and I get out of our cars we walk to the front door step. "You gonna open the door?" He asked. I rolled my eyes, "I didn't bring my keys..." Jeremy laughed, "So are we going to just hope that your mom is home to let us in?" I smiled, "Pretty much. But I'm guessing that she's home cause her car is in the driveway." Jeremy pulled me in closer to him, "Good point." I ring the doorbell and wait for my mom to answer. A few seconds later she opens the door, "Amy it’s so good to have you home." She says while pulling me into a big hug. "Mom this is Jeremy, my boyfriend." My mom smiles, "I've heard a lot about you... Thanks for dropping my daughter off." I gulp, "Actually mom, he's gonna stay here tonight."
After my mom got over the fact that my boyfriend was sleeping over, she was actually pretty cool about it. "All right, Faith you know where we keep all the bed stuff so you can help Jeremy set up his bed on the couch, and you can set up your bed on the other couch." I smiled at her, protective yet not annoying. "Yupp got it mom, thanks." My mom looked at Jeremy, "I trust you, but I swear to God if you two-" I quickly cut my mom off, "Mom, please. Sorry Jeremy what she meant was good night." My mom rolled her eyes and walked up the stairs shaking her head. "Ahh she'll get over." I said. "You're mom's pretty cool, you know letting a guy sleepover." I smiled, "Yeah well if my mom knew how many times Jack snuck over she definatly would not let this happen." Jeremy cocked his eye brow, "And how many times was that?" he asked pulling me into his arms. "A lot," I mermured into his chest, "but it doesn't matter. Nothing but us matters right now."
