PART 13.
I stared at her.
She stare back.
"Any particular reason you're here?"
She walked over to me, arms outstretched.
I couldn't do this, not to my best friend, I wrapped my arms round her waist. "I'm sorry!" I sobbed. "Sophia you plum, don't be, you haven't done anything!"
"I pushed you away, I was so horrible to you..."
"Sh, I understand"
Then we sat there, for a couple of hours, talking about everything. Then there was a knock at my door, and Zeke walked in. Me and Charley, we were lying on my bed at this point, like we used to at our old sleepovers, fingers interlocked, heads bent together, quietly sleeping, our faces scarred with mascara streaks which we would laugh at in the morning. He draped my blanket over us, and kissed me, then walking downstairs, probably to chill with Jake and Robbie.
I felt Charley shake me.
"Sophia?"
"mhm?"
"Pyjamas?"
"You know where they are silly."
She nodded, "Of course"
"Oh and Charley?"
She turned over, "Yeah?"
"Best friends okay?"
"Forever"
I smiled to myself, and she laid back down beside me.
"Did they find him?"
"No."
She knew I didn't want to talk about it, so she changed the subject,
"Soph, I'm scared."
"Of what? He won't be coming back, the police know too much about him"
"It's not that.."
I looked at her, "Char, what's wrong?"
She looked down,"One word.... Pregnant."
I felt my jaw drop..."ROBBIE!"
"SOPH! Shut up!" She practically rugby tackled me to the floor. "Don't say anything, I beg you, he doesn't know" Her eyes started to fill up.
"Oh Charley... Don't cry! I'll buy you baby clothes, and help you will names!"
She laughed, "Soph, I'm 16"
"We've got this Charley, I promise."
