Is sixteen too young for
all of these emotions?
They say I don't understand
the meaning of devotion.
They act as if I throw tantrums
because they say I'm not right.
They treat me like a child who can
neither read nor write.
The words they say I cannot comprehend are
my feelings they swear aren't true.
The words they say I cannot write are the mountains
they are sure our love can't move.
They say that they were young once.
They think they understand,
But they don't know you the way that I do,
the way I know the back of my hand.
There is no age too young
for any type of emotion.
They say that they are trying to help,
but it is a useless notion.
