   Chapter 13
   Bekah’s parents were out of town so we could all stay at her house.
   When we got there I was in awe at how beautiful it was, it wasn’t ginormous but it was pretty big and it was all lit up at night.
   Carter and Trevor carried Ian inside and laid him on the couch.
   “Hey guys we should watch a movie!” Sophie squealed.
   “Yeah sounds good to me” Carter said “but first can I take a shower”
   “Oh me too?” I piped in
   Carter turned to look at me, and I blushed at my mistake
   “Oh…not with him just like after him or something”
   Everyone bursted out laughing, I even giggled too.
   “Yeah sure Olivia you can use my shower, and Carter you know where to go…can you show Olivia?” she asked. “You can borrow my pajamas if you need to.”
   He showed me where her bathroom and her room was.
   “But I don’t know where her pajamas are” He grinned
   I giggled.
   I hoped in the shower and eventually found some pajamas to wear, and then made my way down stairs to watch a movie.
   By the time I got down there they already picked to watch My Bloody Valentine.
   The only seat left was on a small couch with Carter so I playfully hoped on and took some of his covers.
   “Heyyy!” he said as he tickled me a little and I laughed.
   I rested my head on his chest and watched the movie. I flinched at all the jumpy spots and eventually just hid under the covers.
   I heard Carter chuckle and then he put his arm around me.
   By the end of the movie I was too scared and couldn’t sleep, so Carter stayed up with me and talked.
   “I can’t believe you got that scared from that” He said smiling while leading me out to the back porch.
   He didn’t want to wake the others up.
   I smiled “Whatever”
   When we walked outside I was hit by a wave of warmth and it felt so good.
   Me and him sat on sun chairs facing each other.
   At first we were just looking at the stars, but Carter broke the silence.
   “You know Tyler’s a really good guy”
   “Yeah?” I said smiling “He wasn’t like the other guys at the party”
   “You mean like Paxton?” he asked chuckling but looking out into the yard.
   I blushed in embarrassment we probably looked so sloppy, I was half drunk when we were making out. I can’t believe Carter saw.
   “Yeah like him… a player” I said
   He looked over at me and smiled.
   We stayed up talking for a while and eventually made our way back onto our couch.
   I fell asleep to the rhythm of Carter’s heartbeat.
   Carter’s POV
   Am I falling for her?
   Here I am laying with a girl and we aren’t kissing.
   I’ve never had a girl not throw herself at me, I mean even Bekah and Sophie liked me when we first met. But Olivia’s different; she doesn’t like me, or at least not like that.

   When I heard Steve say ‘TIME!’ I didn’t want Tyler to pull away… but he did.
   He was a gentle kisser but I liked it.
   God you’d swear I was on my period or something;
   At the beginning of the night I was into bad boys now I’m into the gentle ones.
   When we sat back down they continued playing, but I kept glancing at Tyler who seemed to have forgotten that I even existed.
   Ughh! I thought to myself.
   After the game I got up to go get a drink but before I could leave someone stopped me.
   It was Tyler.
   Thank you!! I was screaming in my mind.
   “Hey we should hang out sometime…here’s my number” He said with a soft smile
   “Yeah, definitely” I said pecking him on the cheek, and he smiled.
   He walked me to the kitchen and got a drink with me, we tried to talk but the music was so loud.
   “Hey let’s go out back, it’s quieter” He said in my ear.
   I nodded my head and lead the way outback.
   We talked for a little while and I told him that I was only here for the summer.
   Then we kissed. I was sitting on his lap making out with him when I looked
   over at the far end of the yard and saw Carter kissing a thin blonde girl.
   I felt a twinge of jealousy… did I like Carter.
   No! No way! I can’t, I like Tyler.
   All the sudden Tyler’s phone vibrated and he grabbed it out of his pocket.
   “I gotta go my rides leaving… sorry” he said and then gently kissed my cheek.
   We walked inside together and then he left.
   When the door closed Sophie and Bekah ran up to me giggling.
   “So… you and Tyler Hale?”
   I blushed and nodded to confirm what they were thinking.
   I was bombarded with “aww’s” and “OMG you guys look so cute together”.
   “Hey do you know where Carter is? We were thinking about going to get some pizza and then go to my house.” Bekah asked
   “Oh yeah he’s outside with some girl” I said laughing a little
   “Duhh! Why didn’t we think of that!?” Sophie said pulling me a long with them outside.
   “Hey Romeo! We’re going for pizza” Sophie said while she pulled him away from the girl as if she did this every day.
   “Gee thanks Soph” Carter said with a half smile, and she laughed.
   We all piled into Ian’s car but Carter took the liberty to drive, since Ian was still pretty drunk.
   By the time we got to the pizzeria he was passed out in his car so we just left him there.
   We all got a slice of pizza and went back to Bekah’s.

   I can sit and hope that 2012 is gonna better then 2011 but im not, because 2011 wasnt all bad.. i met new people, realized im a lot stronger then i thought.. and found out who my true friends are. yes i did have those really bad days, but those days made me who i am today, i know tomorrow and the rest of 2012 isnt gonna be perfect but i know ill be further in life with the thing i know now. ♥

   Chapter 11
   When I walked out of the room I was overloaded with emotions anger, sadness, and a little confused.
   It was probably the beer.
   I managed to calm myself down so I wouldn’t cry, in a bathroom that I found.
   I kept things bottled up too much.
   I need to work on that I thought as I walked out of the bathroom.
   Making my way down the stairs I spotted Carter and Ian in the middle of a group of people, I smiled at them as Carter waved me over.
   “Hey” he greeted me “Where you been?”
   “Upstairs” I said
   He gave me a oh-I-know-what-happens-upstairs kind of look
   Carter was holding a cup of beer but he didn’t seem drunk unlike Ian who was completely wasted along with a girl he was making out with; eww they looked so… slobbery.
   “Hey let’s go dance” Carter said while gently pulling me over to a crowd of dancers.
   I danced and maybe grinded on him a little but other girls kept coming on to him, so I set out to find Bekah or Sophie.
   I found Sophie making out with Trevor in the backyard, but I couldn’t find Bekah.
   I almost lost hope when I finally saw her; she waved me over to group of people who were about to play truth or dare.
   “Hey you should play, it’s fun” she said to me, I could tell she’d been drinking but not a lot.
   I decided I had nothing better to do so I stayed.
   Instead of picking they used a bottle since there were a lot of new people… me.
   I waited for the bottle to land on me patiently; even though I wasn’t sure I wanted it too.
   I was about to leave and go get a drink when the bottle landed on my

   “Truth or Dare?” A blonde guy named Steve asked
   “Uuh...” I thought about it for a second “Dare”
   People ‘ooohed’ and chuckled which made me blush a little.
   “Okay, okay” he said with an evil smile. “I dare you too kiss…Tyler.”
   I gulped. Tyler was one of the guys that Carter introduced me to, he was pretty good-looking.
   He had sculpted black hair and bright blue eyes.
   We both stood up at the same time.
   “And it hasto be at least thirty seconds long!” Steve added.
   Some girls giggled and some guys laughed.
   When we were ready I looked over to Steve to make sure he timed it.
   “Ready, Set…GO!” he yelled
   And we both leaned in.
   I put my hands on the back of his neck as he put his on my waist.
   I felt his warm lips press on to mine, he didn’t try to jab his tongue into my mouth like I had seen other guys do earlier.
   I liked it, it was nice. I think I might like him

   Chapter 10
   I took another shower when I got home, and lightly curled my long auburn hair and put mascara and eyeliner on.
   I couldn’t decide what to wear but eventually settled on some black low rise shorts with a crop top that said New York on the front. I chose some black leather booties and stuffed them in a bag. I put sweatpants and a T-shirt over my clothes so my grandparents wouldn’t see.
   A few minutes later I got a text from Ian saying he was here. I tried to look causal as I said goodbye to grandma and grandpa.
   “Hey guys” I said when I got into the car
   I could see Bekah and Sophie dying to ask me what I was thinking for wearing this.
   “Don’t worry I have clothes on under this” I said chuckling at them.
   They smiled in relief
   “Oh thank god” Sophie said
   As I was taking my sweats off.
   I saw Ian eying me from the rearview mirror.
   I smiled “Keep your eyes on the road”
   He winked “It’s kinda hard”
   But he looked at the road
   When I got out of the car I could feel Carters eyes on me as he rested his hand on my lower back.
   “You look good” He said into my ear
   “Not so bad yourself” I said while blushing from his comment.
   I could already smell the alcohol and hear the music outside.
   I was getting nervous and Carter knew it.
   “It’s fine” He said reassuring me
   When we walked in, it was crowded and someone had already smacked my butt by the time we got to the kitchen.
   Carter introduced me to some of his friends and then left for the bathroom.
   I felt vulnerable without him next to me but decided to cut loose and have a drink.
   I ended up grinding on one of the guys Carter just introduced me to, his name was Paxton.
   He had short light brown hair, brown eyes, and a strong jaw-line; he looked like a bad boy and I was into it.
   Everyone was really drunk now and I couldn’t find Carter or Sophie or anyone,
   So I decided to have another drink, me and Paxton ended up making out hard core on one of the couches. His hands were cold and they were all over me.
   “Lets go upstairs” he breathed into my ear with a masculine voice
   He carried me upstairs, I wasn’t completely hammered yet but I knew if I had another drink I would be.
   He sat me on the bed and locked the door.
   We continued making out.
   He took off his shirt and was on top of me I ran my ringers along his abs as he kissed my neck.
   He took my shirt off and I let him, but when he reached for my shorts I flashed back to Devin.
   “N-no, stop” I said
   “Oh c’mon it’s just getting good baby” He said while slurring some words. He was drunk.
   I felt tears coming, this was supposed to get my mind off of Devin not remind me of him.
   “I should go” I said grabbing my shirt; I left before I heard him say anything else.

   Chapter 9
   When I finally woke up that morning it was 11: 43.
   I walked downstairs and found my grandparents watching something about gazelles and tigers.
   I laughed to myself about it.
   The whole time I was eating breakfast I was expecting one of them to turn around and ask where I was last night but it never happened.
   Eventually I went back upstairs and took a shower.
   When I got out I put on denim shorts with a light pink American eagle tank top.
   I checked my phone and saw I had a new message from Carter
   “hey lets go for a walk on the beach”
   I just got it four minutes ago
   “mmk(:” I responded
   I walked outside after putting mascara and eyeliner on.
   I spotted Carter on his poarch waiting patiently, he jumped up as soon as he saw me.
   “Hey” he said with a smile.
   “Hi Carter” I said as I grinned
   We started walking towards the beach
   “Listen about yesterday, I’m really sorry.” He paused “Yesterday was the anniversary of the day my mom died”
   I stopped dead in my tracks
   “Oh My God Carter, I’m really sorry” I said wanting to cry again, but I held it in.
   “It’s fine, really she died when I was little”
   I looked up as I felt a raindrop hit my forehead. The sky was a shade of grey now.
   I gazed into Carters eyes and we both ran for the ice cream shop down the beach a little ways.
   We were laughing and smiling and it felt good. I was genuinely happy.
   When we got there I was out of breath.
   We decided to sit at a table and wait for the weather to clear.
   While we were waiting I told him about Devin we really got to know each other.
   The weather cleared so we started walking back home.
   My stomach hurt from how hard I was laughing at one of his jokes.
   “Hey listen there’s this party tonight you should come with me Ian Trevor Bekah and Sophie”
   Carter said after I was done laughing.
   “Yeah sure” I said smiling.
   He grinned.
   I really needed to get my mind off of Devin so I was glad Carter invited me tonight.

   Chapter 8
   Early the next morning I was awaken by Carter rolling over in his sleep.
   I scrambled to find my phone to check the time; it was 4: 30.
   I decide I should go home before my grandparents noticed I wasn’t home.
   Thank God they went out on a late dinner date last night and were probably too tired to check on me before they went to bed.
   But I couldn’t just leave Carter there after yesterday; I had realized that I hadn’t talked to him the whole time we were on the beach.
   “Carter?” I whispered while poking his shoulder.
   Nothing happened.
   “Carter” I said louder while shaking him lightly.
   He groaned and rubbed his eyes
   “Yeah?” He asked.
   “U-uh.. I should go home but I didn’t want to leave you here”
   All the sudden he shot up.
   “What time is it?” he said a bit frantically
   I managed to laugh a little but I was really tired.
   “It’s 4:30 in the morning”
   “Sh*t” he said smiling “I should go to”
   It was an awkward silence on the way home, and the whole time I felt like falling over and sleeping.
   Just after saying good night to him and turning around Carter said something that I was confused about at first.
   “Thanks, Olivia”
   I turned around speechless.
   “Thanks for not asking questions yesterday… at the beach”
   “Oh yeah no problem” I didn’t really know what to say
   He pulled me in for a hug.
   I felt so safe and warm in his arms, I didn’t want him to ever let go, but eventually he did and we went our separate ways.
   Sorry.. It's short and kind of boring:T lol

   Chapter 6
   Later that night Carter texted me.
   “Hey Olive haha”
   “Hahaha! Hey doc.!”
   “I hope your knee is feeling better by tomorrow(;”
   “Hahaha I don’t know if that’s going to happen *sighs sarcastically*”
   “Well it better because we were all going to go to Six Flags(:”
   “Nevermind I think it’s gonna feel better haha lol(;”
   “okay well see ya, oh btw meet me at my house at eight”
   “mmk(: bye!”
   After that I was out like a light. I slept like a rock the entire night until I heard Rufus barking at something in the morning. When I rolled over to look at the time it said 7:20. I forced myself to get out from under my blanket and get dressed. I put on a cream colored lace top with a light pink cami on under it a pair of denim shorts.
   I left my hair naturally wavy and put some mascara on. When I walked down the stairs I told my grandparents good bye, grabbed my brown leather cross-body bag and an apple and walked over to Carters house. When I got there it was 7:54 and everyone was already there.
   “Hey guys!” I said cheerfully
   “Hey” Bekah greeted me equally as happy.
   “Where’s Alice?” I asked while sitting in a stool
   “Ohh she couldn’t go this morning” Ian replied
   I was happy on the inside but decided that it might be best not to show it.
   “Oh” I said as sad as I could.
   We started getting into Trevor’s car and realized we had one to many people. So I sat on Carters lap.
   I could feel the warmth of his body against mine and the smell of his cologne was soo good. He had no other place to put his hands except for in my lap because we were so squished. The whole ride there our hands kept touching.
   “ Hey Bekah, hopefully your tall enough to ride all the rides!” Ian said jokingly.
   We all started laughing
   “Shut up Ian” Bekah said while playfully punching him.
   When we got there we all shuffled out of the car and into the park it was surprisingly busy but everyone seemed to be at the water park.
   Soon a wave of people separated me from my friends.
   I could see Carters dark brown hair and bright green eyes poking ot above the crowd so I traved my way over there.
   I was almost to him when I stumbled over some feet sending me flaying into Carter.
   “Woah now!” Carter said chuckling.
   I blushed wildly
   “Hey lets go to the rides we’ll find the others eventually”
   He suggested politely.

    Chapter 5
    Sophie Bekah and I were just walking back from the bathroom when the guys were coming out of the water.
    “Oh MY GOD! Olivia what happened!!” I heard Carter say when they were about fifteen feet away
    My heart started racing. What was he talking about!
    He dropped his surfboard and started running towards me; he swept me off my feet and laid me down gently in the sand.
    “What is this?!”
    He said while looking at me freshly scraped knee.
    I started smiling realizing he was joking around.
    “We need a Band-Aid!!” he picked me up in his big muscly arms.
    “How have you been walking around, I better carry you home and get you some help with that!”
    Finally he broke his act and started smiling with me.
    He looked over at the other people
    “Guys Olivia needs some help I think I’m going to bring her home”
    They all started laughing.
    Soon enough we were at my front door, Carter had carried me all the way home.
    He put me down to unlock the door and let us in.
    “man does it feel good in hear” he said flashing me a smile
    I chuckled and walked over to the bathroom. I bent over to get a Band-Aid; I mean I might as well since he brought me all the way home.
    When I walked out he snatched it away from me.
    “I’ll do this, go sit on the couch.”
    I did as he commanded
    He gently put the bandage over my knee.
    I could see his eyes, they were as green as ever.
    “There you go all fixed up” he said catching me looking at him.
    “Thanks, doctor Roelof” I said trying to distract him from my blushed face.
    He laughed, and then it looked like he was leaning in.
    But next thing I heard was my grandma and my grandpa walking in the door their arms full of grocery bags.
    I jumped up out of my seat, we weren’t doing anything bad but it did look kind of suspicious.
    “Ooh I see you’ve met our neighbor Olive” grandma said with a bright smile “Hello Mr. Hewit.”
    “Hi Mrs. Jenkins!” Carter said standing up to help put groceries away.
    I probably had a confused look on my face because my grandpa
    Looked over and said
    “Don’t just stand there, darling”
    After putting groceries away Carter said goodbye and left.

    Chapter 4
    I walked into the air conditioned house and saw a note telling me my grandparents went grocery shopping for a little while. I ran upstairs and put my pink bikini on. It had ruffles on the top and the bottoms tied on the sides. I quickly put some denim shorts and a cute crop top on. As I walked out the door I grabbed my cell phone and noticed I had four new messages. They were all from Devin with the exception of one from my mom. Devin was my ex. Why was he texting me?
    “Hey Olive, I rly miss you babe”
    “where you at, havnt seen you around lately”
    “we shld talk call me”
    I rolled my eyes and threw my phone back on the couch, for some reason I didn’t want to bring it anymore.
    Before I knew it I was back out to the beach. I felt like doing something fun and a little dangerous.
    “Hey guys I saw this surf shop on the way here…we should go surfing”
    They all looked at each other with confused looks.
    “Well I was just thinking..”
    Sophie cut me off
    “OMG!! That sounds soo fun; Trevor can teach me how to do it!!”
    She squealed glancing over at Trevor with a flirty look.
    “Uhh surfing isn’t really my thing; I’m going to go over to Skylar’s.”
    Alice said with an annoyed tone.
    I was glad to see her leave.
    “Have you ever surfed before?”
    Ian asked when we were on the way to the shop.
    I chuckled “no”
    “Well I’m sure Carter can help you he’s like a freaking pro!”
    I smiled up into Carters bright blue eyes.
    He smiled back “yup I’ll take good care of you”
    Then he pulled me in close and wrapped his arm around me shoulders.
    We were in the water in no time and I was starting to regret suggesting this when I saw a huge wave coming towards me.
    “It’s all right” I heard Carter say from beside me
    I did what he had told me to do when we were paddling into the ocean.
    I stood up on the board and surfed for like two seconds and then fell into the salty water, and scratched my knee on something.
    It was so exhilarating I got back on my board and paddled back to the group.
    “Man you’re a natural” Ian commented.
    I blushed a little.
    After a couple more times Sophie Bekah and I all got out while the guys stayed for a little while longer.

    Chapter 3
    The next morning I walked downstairs and was greeted with a scrumptious smell of warm muffins. I followed the smell into the kitchen and saw my grandparent washing dishes and laughing together.
    “Good morning Olive!” grandma rose said when she noticed me.
    “Hey Grandma” I replied with a smile.
    “You’re up early… here take a muffin.” offered grandpa Skip.
    I chuckled “You read my mind! Oh yeah I’m going for a run before it gets to hot out”
    “Ooh okay pumpkin, be safe!” my grandma responded with a cheery voice
    I took the last bite of my muffin and started walking to the door.
    “I will, love you!” I called out with my mouth still full.
    I ran down the beach a little ways and instantly regretted eating that muffin; I had a huge cramp coming on now. I pushed myself to run another twenty minutes until I decided I could walk. It was still pretty hot out even though it was only eight in the morning. I decided to take my shoes off and walk in the water. As I was taking my ponytail out, to let my hair blow in the wind, I could see a group of friends walking along the beach in front of me. It made me think of my friends back home
    I wonder what they have been up to. What have I been missing out on?
    “Olivia?” someone interrupted my thoughts; it was a guy from that group.
    I looked up and noticed Carters bright eyes looking at me.
    “Hey, Carter” I said while a smile spread across my face.
    I could see Alice standing in the group behind him but other than that they were all strangers.
    Carter walked towards me with his huddle following closely behind.
    “Well you guys are up early” I said looking up at him. “Back in Pennsylvania no one was ever out this early”
    Carter flashed his beautiful smile
    “Yeah we were…”
    He was cut off by a thin brunet
    “Hi there!” she said “My name is Sophie!”
    I introduced myself to her.
    I talked with the group for a while and learned the names of the others were Bekah, Trevor and Ian.
    “We were just going to play some volleyball if you want to come.”
    Carter piped back in.
    “Yeah you should go! It’ll be fun” said Ian.
    “Okay, sounds good” I replied
    He walked over near me and Carters houses and started playing. The only one that looked like she wasn’t having fun was Alice, but I didn’t feel bad for her, after the way she talked to me last night.
    After an intense game all the girls got into their bikinis.
    “Olivia, get in your bikini!” Sophie called out.
    “U-uh I’m not wearing mine right now but my house is right there so I’ll be right back!”
    “Oh fiddlesticks! Well hurry back then young one!” Sophie said smiling
    “If you need help with that just call me over” Ian said winking.
    I bursted with laughter.
    I looked over at Alice, Carter and Trevor in the ocean laughing, and then I started walking back to my house.

    By the time me and Carter had traced our steps back to the main beach the moon was lighting our path and I was laughing at a funny joke he had said.
    “So where you from?” he’d asked while putting his hands in his pockets. “I haven’t seen you around”
    “Pennsylvania...My parents had me come down here to visit my grandparents this summer” I replied with a half-smile.
    And not a second after I was done I heard someone call his name.
    “Carter!”
    It was a girl, she had long gorgeous blonde hair and steel blue eyes. She had caught up to us by now and was clinging onto his arm.
    “Who’s she?” she said with a fake smile.
    “Hey Alice, this is Olivia, she’s new” he answered with an equally stunning smile.
    “Hi!” I said without thinking.
    She smirked and said “hi” back. Suddenly, I felt self-conscious of the stain on my dress & crossed my arms over it casually.
    “Hey anyway, Carter my parents are out of town tonight and me and Skylar are throwing a party you should come” she ran her fingers down his arm, obviously interested in him, and then she gave me the dirtiest look. “You can bring her...if you want”
    “Uhh maybe I’ll come later Alice but I’m walking Olivia home right know”
    She shot us a suspicious glare
    “Mmk, well bye!!” She said back to her normal perkiness, and then she ran off from where she came from.
    “Sorry about that, Alice can kind of be a little mean sometimes”
    “Ha! That’s gotta be the understatement of the century!” I said with a smile so I didn’t seem to upset about it.
    “Yeah…ohh hey look there is my house!” he said probably trying to change the subject.
    I looked in front of us and noticed he was talking about the house right next to my grandparents’ house.
    I stopped in my track and unconsciously held my mouth open.
    He turned around
    “What? It’s not that great is it?” Carter said sarcastically.
    I chuckled and snapped back into reality
    “No, it’s just my house is right next to yours.”
    “Well, I guess you have no way of backing out from hanging out with me tomorrow right?”
    He laughed a little. I couldn’t tell if he was serious. Why would someone like Carter want to waste another day with me?
    “Hahaha, I guess not” I replied looking up at him.
    His eyes were sparkling in the moon light.
    “Well, bye I guess” I said when we were at the step of my porch
    “Bye” Carter said flashing me one last smile.
    When I got inside Rufus, my grandmas lab ran up to me, as I was leaning up against the door thinking about what an amazing day it was.

    Soak Up the Sun
    Chapter 1
    I let the sun soak into my skin as I let the waves gently wash up over me feet. I could hear seagulls chirping over my head, something I couldn’t do when I was at my parents’ house in Pennsylvania. They had packed me up and shipped me off for the summer because they wanted me to visit my grandparents Florida. Thank god they lived near the beach. While I was walking back to the light green beach house that I was going to call home for the next two months I saw a cute ice cream shop that I decided to stop at. I walked in and instantly collided with a guy whose ice cream cone flew straight on to my new white sundress.
    “Oh my gosh I’m so sorry!” he said grabbing a few napkins that were by the door and handing them to me.
    “U-Umm it’s okay” I replied. I looked up into the boys eyes and was mesmerized by the lively green they were, it completely contrasted with his brown hair.
    “I swear I’ll make it up to you” he said running his fingers through his hair.
    I chuckled “no really it’s okay I didn’t even like this dress” I lied
    But he insisted and bought me & him a cone of chocolate ice cream.
    “Come on. Let’s go for a walk on the beach!” He said as the lady behind the counter handed us our cones.
    I hesitated before agreeing. He noticed my hesitation.
    “It’s okay I don’t bite” he said while flashing me a perfect smile.
    I could feel my face getting warm from blushing.
    “Well that’s a relief I was kind of getting worried” I replied jokingly.
    He chuckled “So what’s your name?”
    “Olivia” I paused to lick some ice cream off the edge of the cone. “you?”
    “Everyone calls me Carter but my real name is Roeloff”
    I couldn’t help but to burst out in laughter. I mean it isn’t every day you come across a guy named Roeloff.
    “That’s an…ummm...interesting name...” I replied still with a huge grin on my face.
    He smiled and nodded like he got that all the time.
    “Hey come over here, I wanna show you something”
    He started walking over to a grassy looking area. I followed behind him.
    “Where are we going?” I asked I was dying to know.
    He turned around already smiling.
    “You’ll see” He said with a grin.
    After walking through some tall grass we finally go to a clear sandy area, it was beautiful. The sun was setting and the sky & and water was just turning a pinky orange but you could still see some blue up at the top.
    “How did you find this place? It’s gorgeous” I said in awe
    I walked around a bit and realized that it looked like no one had ever been here.
    Carter walked over next to me and looked out on to the water, then into my eyes.
    “My mom showed me it when I was little, I come here to relax sometimes.”
    I walked over to the shore and sat in the sand just close enough for the water to touch my feet, I really didn’t care about my dress anymore since it was already stained.
    Carter came and sat next to me leaning back on his hands. After a while of silence the sun had set and it was getting colder.
    “I should probably get going now…”
    At first I didn’t think he heard me but then he turned to face me. I was surprised to see the pain in his eyes.
    “Okay” he said.
    He and I stood up.
    “I can walk you home, Olivia, I mean only if you want me to”
    I didn’t have the heart to tell him no. So I nodded my head and we started walking.
    Should i keep going?
