The children, it just breaks my heart. Their familys have their present wrapped and ready for them to open not even a month away.
Those children, working so hard to be good for santa.

I saw him for the first time in seventh grade.
He was the cutest kid I had ever laid my eyes on.
The first day of school, he kicked the back of my chair and then laughed about it
I remember our first conversation
He asked me what my favorite sport was and I said football
He asked me why, and I said because I think girls can play too.
He just laughed at me. I remember his laugh.
He had a girlfriend.
She was perfect.
She was the prettiest girl in the grade.
He loved her.
In eigth grade, he smiled at me.
He smiled at me just once.
He didn't notice me.
I had moved on. I had a boyfriend.
Then, this year, something changed.
He started to finally look at me.
I had broken up with my boyfriend a while back.
I had never stopped having feelings for him
He started to text me. All the time.
On my birthday, he told me he was in love with me
And finally, after all this time,
I'm proud to call him mine
