Summer Romance? I Hope.Chapter 9It was maybe about two weeks after and there was a saint peters dance. It was the 2nd to last one ever, since we would be freshman next year and weren't aloud back in. So Shea and I got ready together at my house. I wore a pink Billabong shirt with an anchor on it with jean shorts and Nike high tops, since i was never two stepping in vans again. I remember from that night putting loads of sparkles in are hair and all over us. It was then 6:55 and we decided to leave so we would be on time. We hopped in the car and were off. When we arrived Abby, Jenny, Jamie, and Cassidy were on line. We all started screaming and hugging each other. We waited on line and paid, put are stuff down and hit the dance floor. I saw Jimmy it was awkward. I mean we walked out of school occasionaly together when we would meet up at the top of the stairs. He waved, I waved back. We saw Brendan and Ethan too and walked over and talked to them. Then around 8pm that place was hoppin. I wasn't in my great dance mood and Shea kept telling me just to have fun. I just kept looking over at Jimmy dancing with Lucy, Hayley and Olivia. I knew Brendan was going to try to get him to slow dance with me. I was almost positive that he didn't want to because Jamie asked him and he said "Nah." So it was then around 9pm and I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing came on by Aerosmith. Next thing I knew Jimmy was getting shoved into me and I was getting pushed into him. We were finally close enough and I just played it cool and rolled my eyes and put my arms around him. Next thing I knew his hands were on my waist. Jimmy looked at me and started talking. He said "They all said this would make your night." So i just answered with "Uh....I don't know." Then he smiled. I couldn't help to keep smiling because....God. I was slow dancing with Jimmy Malta. Then he said "Uh. I'm just so tired of all this." I replied with "I'm sorry." He smiled again and I smiled. Then we saw Brendan standing there and Jimmy was like "God. He keeps watching us like i'm gonna just leave you standing here or something. Then I looked at him, and smiled.

Summer Romance? I Hope. Chapter 8We all piled into Abby's car and were off to her house. I sat in the front since i nearly broke my ankle. Everyone was piled in the back seats laughing and talking about stuff. We finally arrived at her house and went into Jenny's room where for some reason we always hangout. Cassidy was on her phone and Jimmy texted her. He asked "Is Sam mad at me?" She said text her. Then he said nah. I will tommorow i'm going to bed. So then I decided to. I said we need to talk and he replied okay. I told him how I liked him and that I was crying at the dance and how I really liked him. He replied saying I don't like Abby and that he dosen't like me like that not to hurt my feelings or anything. So i replied saying okay, were okay now and we should hangout over the summer. Then he said I might have a job this summer so i don't know if I can. Okay WTF? I thought to myself when I saw that. I just replied kk. After that whole episode was over everything went Cray at the Blaney/Kedves household. We probabally stayed up until 5 in the morning, flashed eachother, made pancakes, ate a whole jar of pickles and laughed. Alot. The next day Jenny, Abby, Emily, Cassidy and I went to the mall. It was fun, it helped me get my mind off everything.

Summer Love? I Hope.Chapter 6A Couple weeks later was the Spring Fling Dance, I was super excited. The usual crew, Jamie, Abby, Jenny, Cassidy, Shea and me got ready together that night at Abby and Jenny's. I was so hoping that we would slow dance. All my friends thought he was nice and funny and that we would make an adorable couple. Which was totally true. It was 6:55 and we decided to leave so we would be right on time. We hopped in Christine's car, which is Jenny's mom, and all piled on top of one another trying to fit all 5 of us in the back and Abby in the front. We slowly pulled up to the middle school and unpiled out of the car one by one. We all walked on the dance floor feeling the breeze in are hair like we looked damn sexy. We started talking to Brendan and Ethan, they said that Jimmy was going to be like 15 mins late. Which was okay by me because as long as he was there and i got to see him, it was great. Ethan was Jamie's boyfriend, they were so cute together. Finally almost everyone was on the dance floor and the lights went out and everyone was dancing. It was about 20 mins later, I was getting scared Jimmy wasn't going to show, but soon enough I saw him come through the door. God he looked adorable, I mean it was dark but i obiuosly new he looked hot. He came by us and started talking to us all. Everyone was trying to set me and him up to slow dance. Then I was hanging out with Shea and was dancing with her. I was saying that I really hope 2 step comes on because thats my song. I really was beast at it and every dance all the guys and girls would be like woah how do you do that. So i started 2 stepping to Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO in my navy blue vans. Then my ankle twisted really badly. I was about to cry, and it hurt i definitely could have. Shea put my arm on her shoulder and hobbled me over to a chair. Brendan and this kid Peter came over and asked if I was okay and I told them what happened and they helped twist my ankle and so did Shea. Then Shea suggested we go in the lunch room. She stayed with me in there till about 8:00 and the dance ended at 9:00. I really did feel bad but thats why she's my best friend.

Summer Love? I Hope.Chapter 5For the next couple of weeks we texted a lot and smiled at each other in the halls. Then one night i texted him and asked if he wanted to go to the movies with me and Abby. We were trying to get John to go but he brought this kid Brendan instead who is madly in love with abby. My mom dropped us off at Jimmy's house and we hopped in his car and picked up Brendan. God Jimmy looked so cute. We were going to see A Thousand Words. It was funny, but really good because I was with Jimmy Malta. After the movie was over we sat in the movie waiting area until Abby's dad picked us up. We were all sitting and Jimmy was leaning over saying "Ahhh... I'm tired" I just laughed. He was on the oppisote side of me. We were face to face, I really thought he was going to kiss me....He didn't which sucked. Then finally Abby's dad arrived and he dropped me off home and i went to bed and could not stop smiling.

Chapter 4
It was the night that Shea, Abby and I have been waiting for, Saturday the 10th. My friend Jamie somehow got a hold of Jimmy and gave him my number. So around 6:30 pm he texted me saying "Hey its Jimmy i'll meet you guys there at 7. P.S. I'm bringing John. Haha." I was so excited. We arrived and probobaly had the most fun i have ever had. We ate Hibachi and laughed and joked around. After we walked into the movies and somehow Jimmy got his leftovers all over him. Then we walked around to the front of the plaza and went into this frozen yogurt place. Jimmy bought a big cup just full of cookie dough. Abby and John were ovbuisly flirting, it was really cute. Then we went to barnes and nobles and put Japanese videos on all the nooks and ran around and almost got kicked out because Jimmy dropped a stuff animal on the ground and didn't pick it up. Oh and i almost forgot, we went into Petsmart and we were all walking around looking at the fish and stuff. And then the manager came up to us and said only two people at a time in here without an adult. So Jimmy's like we'll just double up. So we left the store and John was still in there and Jimmy went back in and then the guy was like "Get out or im calling the cops!" So he's like but my friends in there. And then the manager said i'll get your friend. It was funny. Then my mom texted me saying she was on her way to get Abby, Shea and I. So we went back to the hibachi place and waited for Jimmys dad to get John and him. Then he was talking to me through my window and all i remember is him saying something like "So i um... Should i say it since you know who is right there?" And i was like probably not because i'm guessing he was implying my mom. So then he moved onto what we did that night. But i still don't know what he was going to say.

Summer Love? I Hope.Chapter 3The next couple of weeks flew by for bowling. It probobaly wasn't till the 4th or 5th week we would have little conversations and wait for each other ever so closely every time we went up. Around the 6th and 7th week we started talking a lot. We would sit at a table across from each other and just talk. We would laugh and joke around. By this point, probobaly around the 4th week i had the biggest crush on him. Every monday came so quick. It was the ninth monday, the second to last bowling monday. Deep inside i didn't want it to be over. It was the month of march, and i realized i had fallen in love with this kid for 3 months. My birthday was March 7th, so i decided for my birthday i was going to invite my best friends that a girl could ever ask for, Shea and Abby. It was finally the last Monday, I had told Jimmy about going out for hibachi. He thought i had said bachi, it was really funny. He texted his mom during bowling and i wanted to give him a card so he would have my number but his mom texted back saying yes you can go. So he didn't get it. His friend John was there too on the last day. He joked around asking if he could come and i was being serious and said yes.

Summer Romance? I hope.Chapter 2I slammed the car door shut. I quickly texted Lea. "Jimmy is in my bowling thing, lol!" I went home and put a big t-shirt on and hopped into bed. The next morning was tuesday, i really didn't feel like getting up at 6 o'clock. "But, i thought to myself. six more months till summer. I have more then half the year done." I woke up the next morning went to school, nothing interesting like usual. I saw Jimmy in the hall he smiled. The week went by really quick. It was already saturday. I don't have anything planned. I may tan or read a book. Next thing i knew it was Monday. I awkwardly couldn't wait to get out of school. I was kind of, excited for bowling. I hoped we would talk today. My mom picked me up from school. "How was school today?" she asked. "Okay." I said. I got out of school at 2:15 pm so only an hour and forty five minutes until bowling. Finally i was walking into the bowling alley. I got my shoes, put them on and grabbed the same bowling ball i used last week. It was 6 pounds. I'm a wimp i thought, laughing to myself. Then I saw Jimmy walk through the door. He gave me that same smile again. I felt as if i saw it a million times. "Did this kid talk?" I thought to myself. The instructor came over to all of us and set up are boards on the screen. Jimmy and I were right after one another. His name said James on the board and mine said Samantha. No one called us that though in school, so it was a little weird. Jimmy was up and then i wasn't really paying attention. Then he said laughing "Samantha your up, that sounds so proper." I looked at him and just laughed. I had sweatpants on with a baggy t-shirt. I went to bowl the ball and somehow my hand got caught in the strings of my sweatpants. But i somehow ninja caught the ball, so he didn't notice. All the little kids went and then Jimmy was up again. He wasn't paying attention this time around. So i joked and said "James your up, that sounds so proper."

Summer Romance? I Hope.Chapter 1I walked into the Sea Girt bowling alley. My mom had signed me up for a 10 week bowling class through the rec center in my town. I really didn't want to go, i figured it would be all little kids. I went to the front desk and got my bowling shoes, size 9. I took a seat, put the bowling shoes on and then found a ball i could actually carry. I watched all the little kids come in, probably ages 7-10. Great i thought, i knew they would all be little. Then two more people came in, i hoped it was someone at least my age, hopefully a cute boy. But i really just wanted someone my age so i didn't feel like a dork for two weeks. It was a little kid who was a ginger that was probably 10 and then someone i knew! Thank god i thought. It was Jimmy Malta. He was in my grade and went to my school. The only thing that i was thinking was what about Lea. Jimmy and Lea went out for like a day but i know Lea really liked him and they hung out once or twice and slow danced. "Hello boys and girls" the instructor of the bowling session said. We all said hello, Jimmy glanced at me and smiled. Good i thought at least he knew who i was. We didn't talk at all, but i had another nine mondays to come, hopefully we would talk then.
