Is It Love?
So you'd think it was love at first sight,
Really it wasn't,
they had a ton of fights.
They looked perfect,
but was the yelling worth it?
She was too dramatic,
he was a drug addict.
He'd hit her,
and never stop.
She'd feel worthless
and feel like slop.
What kept them together?
We'll never know.
Maybe it was deep down,
they couldn't let go.
It was strange love.
We'd never understand
the unconditional love between

Strange Addiction
I'm not saying this is true,
and I'm saying this is fiction.
But a young girl of seventeen,
had a strange addiction.
No, it was not drugs.
No, it was not self-harm,
there was a never a mark upon her arm.
This might be a surprise,
for many, not all.
This young teenage girl,
loved herself.
Flaws and all.
She looked her in mirror everyday,
said she was pretty,
and believed what she would say.
She wasn't popular,
nor was she a huge athlete.
People loved her for who she was,
and she did so too.
Now look into the mirror hun,
and tell me what you see.
Everything or nothing
you wanted to be.

It Got To Her
And there she sits in her room.
Tears running down her face.
Going through her horrible thoughts.
Should she give up?
She doesn't know.
Will people care if she does?
She doesn't think so.
Her life was so hard and crazy.
No one knew.
If she ever brought up anything going on.
No one listened.
She was a beautiful young girl.

I got a text from my best friend today,
saying she wants to go on a "starvation diet".
I think I was almost in tears.
It's bad enough girls, and even guys, around the world hate* their body.
And, even who they are.
Thanks to society and all those super skinny models,
it's hard to be a girl.
We all think we're expected to be size zeros and extra smalls,
but we're really not.
It's probably hard for some guys out there too;
they either hate seeing girls hate themselves, or they actually hate their own bodies.
I hope she read this, because in my eyes,
this is a serious* situation...
And this "wanting to be skinny" sh*t,

Disney should not only make a princess without hair,
so young girls with cancer can feel beautiful.
But, Disney should also make a plus-size princess.
So, young girls of a larger size won't feel the need to be skinny,
& will feel beautiful just the way they are.
