Bullying.
Do you even know the meaning of the word? If you saw somedbody calling a girl ugly, a boy fat, you'd just walk on by. You see the same kids picking on the same person a few days later. This time you notice. But by the time you're at your next lesson, you've completely forgotten about it.
You should have noticed. This is bullying.
Over 500,000 children and teenagers in this world attempt to commit suicide because of bullying every year. Can you believe that? That over 500,000 children are prepared to take their own lives, leave their own families, just because a few idiots at school thought it was okay to call him/her names.
The other day, I saw a group of older guys picking on boy. They told him to go die, told him no one wants him, not even his own mother. He ignored them, keeping his head down, but I can tell you now I have never seen somebody so sad, so lost.
Everybody has a right to feel like they belong while being themselves. Regardless of if they are white, black, mixed race, straight, gay or bisexual, tall or short, skinny or chubby, ginger hair, black hair, blonde hair, brown hair etc.
Bullying is a serious issue. If this is happening to you, don't be afraid to tell somebody. Sometimes a problem shared, is a problem solves.
I know you've all probably heard this a zillion times before, but next time,
maybe you should think before you speak.
all mine.
I'm reading this speech to my class on Friday. Wish me luck♥
