“Yea..um..sorry…I’ll get going.” Will cowered.
“Good and don’t let me see you again until my plants are all watered!” Mathews
mom screamed. She was never like this…I didn’t know what was going on…
“Ms. Patten..Are you okay?” I asked softly.
“
Yes. Why do you care?” She spat.
“Maim you can tell me…I promise.” I said gently. She sniffed and let out tear drop.
“Come-come inside Kaylee. I’ll tell you.” She spoke. I nodded and followed her in.
“Mathew-he-he-he” She started crying. “He murdered someone..” She cried.
“I know that’s where I was before this. That’s why I came to see you. We cant let
him get away with injuring Alia and killing her little brother.” I stated firmly.
“HE. DID. WHAT?” She screamed.
“You said he murdered someone. Alia Willows little brother. Right?” Now I was
lost. She sniffed.
“No, no. He killed his father.” She whispered. I couldn’t believe what I was
hearing. I was so angry. I could feel the hatred building inside of me. I bent down,
hugged Ms. Patten and whispered in her ear.
“Now may not be the best time to say this but, Mathew, he abused me, sexually
and physically. For almost 3 months.” I breathed. She let out a sob. I left her there
crying. I had to find Mathew and destroy him. Now more than ever. I stopped by
my house and put on party clothes. It was a Friday afternoon in the summer. He
would be at his favorite club with his friends and some random girl from our school
who would die to get in his pants.
I pulled up to the club wishing that I had Alia there with me to protect me, then I
remembered the reason I was there, was to protect her. I burst into the club and
got a drink (non-alcoholic, I had a job to do). Walked around a little before spotting
Mathew and his friends. I walked over, straight to Mathew. I kissed his cheek and
slid my face next to his ear then said
“Hey babe. In the mood for some fun? I know I am.” I licked his neck and started
dancing on each other. I made up some lame excuse for having to go to the
bathroom and on my way there I grabbed his friend Cory by the wrist and pulled
him with me. I dragged him into a stall and we started making out. He knew it was
wrong, I knew it too. And I loved every second of it. I knew that soon Mathew
would come in here and see us then they would fight while I snuck out quietly. Then
step 2(Cheat on him with his friends) would be complete.
Mathew walked in and once he didn’t see me he kicked open our stall and saw us
kissing. He grabbed Cory by the neck and slammed him into a wall. They started
throwing punches around and just as I headed for the door to sneak out I heard a
boom and Cory fell to the floor unconscious. Mathew turned and laughed. He
aimed for his next punch but, it was aimed at me.
