'Two strikes and your out'. Thats what mum told me the lady at the town hall told her when she signed the contract declaring i would have 3 lives. I don't actually remember agreeing to have 3 lives. But who wouldn't want it? You could do anything, be anyone. Ages ago, like 2000 years ago, they used to have only one life, one. Could you imagine, i wouldn't have enough time for anything, I chose 16 to stop growing, you can only chose when your 16. But that sounds like you only have a load of 16 year olds in the world, but your parents can chose if you stop growing at 10 or 5 or something. But you have to be over 5 to stop ageing. Wait, why am i even writing this, in this stupid diary. Following Miss Smiths advice, i mean; WHO DOES THAT? She said i could confine my 'biggest secrets' in you. I have all my secrets up in my head thanks, and thats where i plan to keep them. Miss Smith chose 47 to stop ageing, bloody 47. What kind of idiot choses 47. Miss Smith, thats who. I'm being an idiot writing in this diary, i'm never going to write in you again. Never, ever, ever.

The creaking of the floorboards indicated someone was coming up the stairs. I shoved the purple, velvet diary under my pillow hastily. Its cover felt as soft as how you imagine a cloud. Pure... softness. I layed back on my bed as the handle of the door rattled violently. Cam, a short fat kid from my class, barged in. A snickers in his chubby hand. 'What do you want?' i asked flatly, 'You know you're not supposed to be in here." Cam smirked. He greedily took a bite out of his chocolate bar.
"I just came to see if i can copy the homework Miss Smith gave us." I raised my eyebrows and sat up before smiling to myself.
"Look who's come running for my help," i said, "Anyway, my answers no. Go do it yourself, now get out of my room or i'll tell Miss Orchid. Then you'll be in deep sh*t." Cams smirk vanished, now plastered on his face was a vicous scowl.
"Fine, be just like your brother. A snitch." He turned to head out of my room, but i was already there. I slammed my fist into his flabby belly. A low, thoarty sob tore out of his mouth, as he collapsed on the floor with a 'THUMP'.
"You say ONE more word about my brother, and i'll-" i stopped in mid-sentance as i noticed who was standing in the doorway. Miss Orchid, my headteacher, was standing there with an amused look in her eyes.
"What wil you do exactly Elizabeth, i didn't quite catch that?" she asked, her eyebrows raised high up her big forehead.
"I-I don't know what i'll do Miss Orchid..." i stuttered as the tears spilt out of my eyes and marred my face. I glanced down at Cam, who was still wheezing on the floor.
"DAMN IT CHILD! WHEN WILL YOU LEARN?" Miss Orchid roared, making my head snap up, she stamped her foot impatiently on the dry wooden floor, "GET TO MY OFFICE! NOW!!!!"
