Torn
Chapter 1
I yawn as I walk downstairs on my first summer Monday. School just ended the other day, and I haven't done anything yet. Just sat infront of the computer, but that's nothing new. My long, pin straight hair is thrown up into a sloppy ponytail and I'm wearing black yoga shorts with a pink trim and a black, skin tight tank top. I pour myself a bowl of cheerios and milk and sit down at the table. There's a note from my mom. It says:
Hey Ronnie,
I'm going out of town with a few friends for the week. There's $100 in the cookie jar on the counter. Stay safe, Love you xx
I sigh. Of course she is going out. I contiinue eating my cheerios in silence while daydreaming until I hear a knock at the door. I get up and walk over to the front door with my spoon still in my mouth. I open the door and see my boyfriend Niall standing there. I take the spoon out of my mouth and say "What do you want?" and walk back over to the kitchen, "Ooh! It's that time of month again!" Niall squeals jokingly while clapping his hands. "More like that time of day. Also known as morning," I mumble. He laughs and says "So what do you want to do today?" "I don't have any plans. What do you want to do?" I ask. "Well, the lads and I are having a party tonight at Harry's house and I was thinking we could pick up some party stuff?" he asks hopefully. I nod and then ask "What time does the party start?" "7" I quickly finish my breakfast. "I'm gonna take a shower before we go, okay babe?" I say. He nods and heads into the kitchen. Great. He's gonna eat all my food. I rush upstairs and shower. Considering the time I get up in the summer, which is usually around noon, it's already 1 by the time I get out of the shower. I put on my white Hollister shorts, a flowly black shirt with a gold smiley face on it, and my black converse high tops. I apply a little bit of gold eyeliner to make my brown eyes pop, mascara, and I throw my hair into a high ponytail. I pick up my keys and wallet off of the table and head back downstairs. Niall sees me and stands up. "Ready to go?" he asks. I nod. He kisses me on the cheek, grabs my hand, and leads me outside. We get into my light blue topless jeep. "So, where to first?" I ask. "Harry said that he wanted balloons to put around the house, snacks, a cake, and anything else we can think of," Niall tells me. I put on my sunglasses and laugh. "Balloons to cover his whole house? His house is huge! It's, like, 4 floors!" I say. Niall laughs and I back out of the driveway.
