Chapter one .
I was walking around the town center, which was filled with people, but then again it normally is. I walked around the corner, when I accidentally bumped into a young man, about my age. My first thought was that he was quite cute, and from the first second I laid
eyes on his deep brown eyes, I fell in love with them.
'I-I...Uh...' I was lost for words. I didn't know what to say, or what do to. I've always been socially awkward, nothing I have every done has changed that.
'S-sorry, are you alright?' He looked quite astonished too, but I doubt he was.
'Yeah, yeah I'm fine thanks.' I smiled at him, the first genuine smile to anyone in a while. He smiled back, and he seemed quite happy. We looked at each other for a minute or two. No words, no actions, just silence. Until, a drunk teenager around fifteen, ran straight past me as fast as he could, pushing me to the side and making me fall over.
'Oh my god, are you okay?' The young man helped me up, his face covered with worry.
'Yeah, it was just a bit of a shock. that's all. Thanks... I'm sorry, but I never quite got your name?' He smiled again, making my heart do backflips and butterflies swarm in my stomach. You shouldn't be doing this, I thought, you'll end up getting hurt... I pushed those thoughts aside and I went back to reality.
'My name is Dan.' Dan? He suddenly looked familiar and his name was too.
'I'm Hayley. And now that I think about it, you look quite familiar.' I stated, slightly confused on where I had seen his face before. It was somewhere... But I didn't know where that was.
'I guess a lot of people do.' He laughed. Yes, he was definitely from somewhere. 'So, Hayley, would you like to get a coffee with me or something?' Dan looked hopeful. The voices inside my head were screaming, 'No, say no! You'll get hurt like last time.' But something about him intrigued me... So I said yes.
'Sure, I would love to.' I smiled, scared that I made the wrong choice.
'So, your name is Hayley Smith, you are twenty years old, you enjoy being lazy and you fangirl over food, correct?' I nodded my head, sipping on the top of the straw from my Frappachino. I had spent the last ten minutes with Dan, talking about me, and the things I wanted to achieve and who I am. He will never truly know anything, though.
'Okay, my turn. My name is Dan Howell, I am 21, I live with my best friend Phil and I enjoy watching videos on YouTube.' That made me remember who he is. Danisnotonfire, and his best friend is AmazingPhil. How could I not realise that?
'Ohmygosh. You're Danisnotonfire! I thought I recognized you from somewhere! Dan laughs, nodding his head as I spoke.
'Yeah, that's me. Took you a while.'
'Well, excuse me for not wasting my time with YouTube videos.' I smirk, making Dan laugh. Out of nowhere, two girls come walking to the table where Dan and I are sitting, and they both start squealing.
'Oh my god, it's you! You're Hayley Smith! JustYourAverageGirl! I have watched all your YouTube videos and I love you so much!' I stare at them, smiling and I forget what I had said to Dan.
'Awh, thank you so much! You made my day. I love you too!' They both walk away, squealing with excitement. I turn back to Dan and this time he's the one with the smirk on his face.
'What were you saying about wasting time with YouTube videos?'
