Day 1 — Your Best Friend
Dear Jackie,
I'm completely spaced out, and totally out of it [ha, when am I not?], so this probably won't be the best letter, but that's all right. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for being my best friend of 10+ years, thank you for always being there for me, and thank you for just being you. I love you so much, you really have no idea. One of the things I love about you is how silly and ... I don't know ... I can't find the word. I guess, innocent, you are. You're almost always in a wonderful mood, and I love how when I say and show you the strangest things, you're genuinely freaked out/scared, and you love me anyway :D. You've been there for me through every single thing, and I really do appreciate you for that. We used to be exactly the same, and now we're just so different. We used to be the top in our grade [school], avid readers, preppy band geeks who were completely oblivious to the rest of the world. Now, I fit in more with the group who's "obsessed with piercings & tattoos, rock music, wants to abolish the government, and the kids who're always depressed," yet, still, you've always stood by me, and no matter how much I've changed, you haven't judged me. Actually, yes, yes you have, but, I know everything you say is with love and isn't meant to be mean [and it's usually pretty amusing anyway] XD. Plus, whenever we get together we always have fun. I mean, really, who else's house can you go to and at 8 PM play Tap Tap Revenge 3, while making ambulance noises to every beat? &- then fall off the bed laughing in the process? Yeah. Thought so. :)
