   So the other night,
   One of my mom's horseback riding students was sleeping over at our house because I'm close friends with her. I know that her parents are divorced and she hides her real emotions pretty well because she's like the happiest person ever. Anyways, we were watching a movie and she started to sound sad and she wanted to talk. She told me how stressful it was for her and how she used to cut herself. She's about 10 years old and I felt bad for her. I'm 13 and my parents are divorced too, so I know how she feels. Also, she told me about bullies. I looked at her and said, "I know what you're going through, I've been there". She gave me a puzzled look. Then, I lifted up my sleeve and showed her my scars and cuts and hugged her.

    When I look back on my life, it's not that I don't want to see things exactly as they happened, it's just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way. And truthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented it. Clinical psychology tells us arguably that trauma is the ultimate killer.
