CHAPTER 1
Hi, I'm Emma and I love horror movies, Zoe loves shopping and Jacob is into sports and we were best friends. You know that popular crowd that everyone wants to be in, yeah we are not in that. We are probably the only ones in school who don't care. At least that's what everyone thought, and something else everyone thought, Jacob was too hot to be seen with me and Zoe.
''Oh! There it is, high school, new friends, new enemies and new crushes.'' my dad said. Ever since my mom left us for her spanish boyfriend Heraldo, it's been just me, my dad and my older brother Sam. It's been rough, but we made it 2 full years, what's the rest of our lives without her, nothing right?
''Dad, let's stop here, I don't think you can go any further than this, with the car i mean.'' said Sam.
''Sam you don't need to be embarrassed by me, many parents drive their kids to school.''
''No i really mean it, i'm not embarrassed you can't go any further!''
Then my dad saw the workers on the road, he stopped said goodbye, and me, Sam, Zoe and Jacob stepped out of the car. Jacob and Zoe were walking in front of me and Sam, and that's when Sam said: ''Look you don't know how hard high school is, so if you have any problems and if anyone messes with you you talk to me! You got that?!''
I smiled and said: ''It can't be that hard'' and laughed at him, not knowing how true that would be.
We walked trough the front door and i felt like i was in the middle of a war zone, some girl was crying, another was yelling, some boys were being beaten like hell. I was not impressed by what i saw, i was afraid and yet proud, don't know why.
''Hi!'' suddenly came from behind us and there was this girl, Lucy (short for Lucille), she was a freshman too. We immediately started talking and we thought that we could trust her. She was one of the populars, we didn't know that. Suddenly she grabbed Jacob and whispered something to him. They just left without a word. That was the last time we saw Jacob as himself.
