She screams and cries
Asks if everything will be alright
But deep inside
She knows it won't
With those cuts and the marks
Growing each day in the dark
She can't explain how they start
But knows they won't end
With every day that goes by
She dies a little more inside
Can't hide how much she cries
She just lets everyone see
No one speaks to her
Just laugh and poke fun at her
See how much it hurts her?
But no, they just dont care
So she writes a note all to them
What they could've saved if they would've been friends
But this is how her time will end
Because of all her hurt
So when they find her dead that night
With her gorgeous face so bright
Hung by that rope so tight
They'll really see her pain

She closed her eyes and pictured the sunset
The one she saw when she was with him that day.
She smiled so wide it made her face hurt
When she heard the phone ring, she didn't know what to say.
She hung up before he answered
She missed him so much but did nothing.
She knew he had moved on, but knew she hadn't
She thought that they had really had something.
All it was was a summer romance
All it was was a summer fling.
She was just some young, naive girl
It didn't really mean anything.
She walked out the door with keys in her hand
Out into the sun to go out for a while.
Leaving every last memory behind
With one everlasting "I'll wait for you" smile.
He looked in the phonebook and searched for her name
And stopped when he found it.
He paused for a second and picked up the phone
He missed her but did she miss him?
He dialed in the number that he was looking at
And heard the line ringing.
The sound like drums in an echoing room
Each one hurt with a sting.
He got the voicemail and heard her voice
And smiled from ear to ear.
He heard the happiness in her voice
And became filled with fear.
He thought she had moved on
Didn't remember him.
So he hung up the phone and closed the phonebook
Picked up his keys and walked out the door.
He went outside to go out for a while
With one last look saying "I can't wait anymore".
