Depression is an illness, That most people can't stand,
And if you ask me, I'm not a fan,
But if you ask me why I'm a good writer,
I won't lie,
Depression was my savior,
Depression let me fly,
I hate to talk about it,But here we go,
I wont go to fast,
I will take it slow,
I'll tell you how it started,Without a lie,
Depression was so horrible,
About from here to the sky,
But see one thing good happened out of it all,
I could write like a poet,
And could never fall,
People don't understand,What it's like,
But me,
I know what it takes, To get through the hard days,
But see depression never goes,
It always stays,
Your probably thinking wow this is though,
See people say there sorry,
And thats not enough,
See you people don't even know the story,
But there I told you,But please,
Please don't worry,
There you go my whole life before you,
And there Im done,
But my life isn't through,
I'll try to turn the page,
And start from new,
And thank you
Thank you for listening,
I'll try I'll try to remember you.-Donald Hammond
