Day Dream
Chapter 1 : Charlie's P.O.V
It was just like any other of Mr Pepper’s lessons. He droned on for about 30 minutes of the lesson , and then we copied notes from a PowerPoint. No thought needed really. Most of the time , I sat by the window. I liked it there , just staring at the clouds for the hour. The sky is at peace, and it brings me to peace , at least for a while.
If you observe my class for a while , you can automatically tell the different groups of people. On the front row, sit the ‘ Nerds’ , the kids who want to pass GCSE and A Level’s, the kids you’d expect to see at Harvard or Cambridge. A row back sit the Plastics, the girls with everything down there , but nothing in their heads. Just air , and possibly their nails, but for some , not even that. Then comes the jocks and the goths and the chavs. And then theirs me. Charlie Michelle Taylor.
Chapter 2 : Jacob's P.O.V
One of the worst things about the first day in a new school , are the thoughts that cross your mind. ‘ What if I don’t make any friends’, ‘ What if my teachers hate me’ and one of the most predominant in my mind ‘ Why did I let my mom drive me to school.’
“ Good luck honey” shouted my mom from the front seat of the car .
“ Mom , really ? “ I sighed . As if I wouldn’t have enough problems today. I paced slowly towards the front entrance of the main building. Above the doors in grey letters said “ Rhode Hill High School.”
“ Oh and honey “ my mom added . “ Try to stay out of trouble.”
I ignored her comment and opened the doors. This is a fresh start for both of us. I wasn’t going to mess it up.
I headed towards what looked like the reception. A friendly looking woman approached me. “ You must be Jacob Earls” she said.
“ Yeah that’s me “ I replied. She gave me my class schedule and took me to a classroom on the second floor. She opened the door and said “ Sorry Mr Pepper, this is our new arrival, Jacob”
All eyes fixed on me as I entered the classroom. I struggled past bags and chairs to make my way to an empty seat at the back of the room.
