Zach's POV
I smiled as he and Timber held hands down the street. I kissed her on the forehead and suddenly felt her head turn and she stopped and laughed. I turned too, only to find Skylar and Luke kissing a few feet away from us. I scowled and laughed with Timber to cover up my slip. My slip was the scowl. I used to like Skylar, but she started dating Luke, and I decided to ask Timber out. I figured this was how it was meant to be but I don't want it to be this way. "Why don't you get a room! Or a bush!" I heard Timber shout and I watched as Luke slipped his hand around her waist, something I wanted to do. Luke whispered into Skylar's ear and she smiled.. what did this mean? I looked over at Luke, with envy lining my face. I grabbed Timber's hand and probally squeezed to hard because she winced. "Sorry." I whispered to her, afraid that she might take it the wrong way. I turned her away from the couple and walked as quickly as I could toward the theater, now coming into view.
Skylar's POV
As the others turned, I looked up into Luke's smiling face. I stood on my tiptoes and kissed him gently before pulling on him to follow along. Yeah, he is tall so I had to stand on my toes, whatever! The four of us kept on walking until we got to the theater. My mouth fell open as I saw the sign. 'CLOSED FOR FIRE' I gasped and looked around at them. "Did you know it had a fire?" "Nope." "Not really.." "Since when was there a fire?!" Each one of us had the same unattractive, gaping look on our faces. "You kids got a problem?" We all jumped when the voice floated over to us. I turned and Timber answered before I could see the man clearly. "Yeah, since when has there been a fire at the theater?" The middle-aged man laughed and looked to us with black and beady eyes. "Last week, didn't you hear?" The man rolled his eyes at us and turned to walk away. "What are we going to do now?" I asked quickly. Luke suggested we go to the diner for some lunch. "How 'bout Mama's?" Mama's Diner had the best food in our little town on the beach. We all agreed and headed there. As soon as we reached it, Zach pushed the door open and held it open for Timber and me. When Luke reached the door, Zach let it slam in his face. I caught it before it hit and growled over to Zach. "What the hell was that for?" He glanced over to me and pulled Timber to a table. I grabbed Luke's hand and followed along, unsure of why Zach was acting this way.
