   I couldn't help but laughing.
   "You're kidding me right?" I smiled at Carter. He looked me in the eyes and put his hands on my shoulders.
   "No. He whispered in my ear, hey! dude, Kaelyn soo likes me man. i should ask her out. All i could do was nod and laugh." I looked down at my phone. I pushed a button on my phone, which reminded me that I had a new text message. I checked to see who. It was Collin. I looked up to see Carter looking at my phone.
   "What are you gonna do?" He asked me.
   "I'm not sure. Open it?" I said unsure of anything. Carter than gently took the phone out of my hands. I looked at him questioningly.
   "Remember how i told you ever guy in our grade is in love with you?" He asked me still looking down at my phone, apparently texting.
   "Ya?" I asked looking out the window.
   "That includes me." He said as I looked at him.

   The bus then came from around the corner, thank god. I don't think I could have survived another moment in that situation. I went to seat twelve, all eyes were on me. It was kinda weird. I flashed a smile and sat down. Sam was following me and took his regular seat; right behind the bus driver. Carter followed him and sat down right next to me in seat twelve. He rolled his eyes.
   "What?" I asked him laughing. Carter always makes me laugh.
   "I have to sit next to you." He said in disgust. I blinked twice and looked around the bus. There were two other people on it.
   "You're kidding me right?" I asked him. "If I'm such a bother, grab a different seat." He smirked.
   "I would. But i was only kidding Kae. Take a joke." He said and flashed me that smile I haven't seen in a while. His green eyes were sparkling.
   "Hahaha, sorry." I blushed. "So what'd Sam say to you?" I asked him trying to make conversation.
   "You really wanna know?" He smiled.
   "Yes!! Are you kidding me?" I smiled back. Then my phone vibrated from my bag. I took it out. 1 new text message. This can't be good.
   "He said that he was gonna ask you out." Carter said right before I could open the message.

   I woke up to the faint smell of chocalate chip pancakes. I hopped out of bed to find out that it was 7 o'clock. Great, only half an hour to get ready and eat. I walked over to my walk in closet and picked out a cute short skirt and a hollister tank. I threw it on and matched it with some gladiators. I looked at myself in the full body mirror briefly and across the hall to the bathroom. I straightened my naturally curly hair and put my bangs in a braid across my head. Suddenly it hit me. As soon as I was putting mascara on, all the drama of yesterday. Why I fell asleep crying and why it was hard to sleep. Collin and I had broken up, and it wasn't my fault.

   I said thanks to my mom and walked out of the door with my bag on my arm. I was ready to tackle a day full of drama in sunny California. I walked to the bus stopped slowly, just thinking. My neighbor, Carter, walked up next to me.
   "Hey!" He said. I jumped a little. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." He said stepping back and putting his hands up.
   "Its cool." I said. "So what's up?"
   "Ahh, school. You know, the usual." He smirked. "How about you?"
   "Umm, life could be better." I said not really wanting to get into details.
   "What?" He asked me. He stopped and put his hands on my shoulders. "What's wrong?" He asked again, more serious. I looked down.
   "I, umm. I broke up with Collin yesterday." I said. I knew that Collin was Carter's best friend.
   "Seriously?" He asked me and took his hands off my shoulders.
   "Ya?" I asked unsure but still looking down.
   "Its about time." Carter said as we started walking again. I looked up at him.
   "What?" I asked confused.
   "Come on Kae. You've been dating him for like what, 11 months now? Every single guy in our grade loves you. He needs to give you up for a little and share." Carter said winking at me. I laughed.
   "You're kidding me right?" I said stepping onto the street, we were almost at the stop.
   "Nope. You're gorgeous kid." Carter said. He's always been like a big brother to me.
   "Wow, you're weird. And if every guy wants to date me, why don't i know this?" I said holding in laughter.
   "Dudee, calm down." Carter said as he stopped at the stop.
   "Sorry, just wondering cause Collin was cheating on me for the past two weeks." I said looking down.
   "We'll continue this conversation on the bus." Carter said as the annoying kid came up from behind us. I turned around and saw him. Hair gelled back and glasses on with his weird bob the builder backbag.
   "Hi Kaelyn." He said in that weird voice of his. He waved to me.
   "Hi Sam." I said putting my hands in my pockets. He then whispered something in Carter's ear and the bus came.

   I was walking down the street when Collin came running up from behind me.
   "What do you want?" I asked him holding back the tears.
   "A second chance." I turned away from him running to my house, leaving him there alone and confused.

   I sat down in my bedroom and started my homework. Wow, do my teachers want to punish me with all this work? Whatever, I grabbed a piece of mint gum and put it in my mouth. It always helps me to relax. I threw the wrapper away and someone knocked on my door.
   "What do you want?" I asked as nicely as possible.
   "You need to eat something Kaelyn. Its 7:30 at night." I looked at my phone and noticed that my mom was right. I put my pencil in my binder and headed downstairs to eat some dinner. I walked down to the kitchen just to find that my mom already had a plate made for me. Great, less work on my part! I sighed and started to eat my meatloaf.
   "What's wrong Kae?"My dad asked me coming in from the dining room.
   "Too much homework, it frustrates me." I said to him telling part of the truth. I took the gum out of my mouth and threw it away.
   "Try work." He said sarcasticly.
   "Whatever." I said rolling my eyes. In about two hours my homework was finally done. It took forever to do, mostly because I was crying a lot. My boyfriend Collin, the guy who I shared my first kiss with, cheated on me. Typical right? Well, we were dating for 11 months and he's been cheating on me for two weeks. I found out because of my best friend Lily. I looked over to the clock in my room and decided to take a shower before I went to bed. I grabbed some pajamas and walked quietly over to my bathroom, I could almost hear my brother snoring. I turned on the shower and in seconds the bathroom was steaming hot. I jumped in and immediately felt all my stress go away. I love this feeling. I got out of the shower and went straight to my room with my pajamas and brushed hair. I hopped into bed, turned off the light, and hoped that tomorrow would be okay.
