The electronic clock, was no longer working at 3:00 Am.
I was left alone in the cold bed, caught in bed sheets and
blankets,
my hair was tousled from dreaming, about days that were the
past.
And I had, stayed up too many nights alone, on this bed,
waiting.
For you, I've been grasping these bed sheets, trying to find
you.
I had spent all these months, waiting and watching for you.
And, I know I am no longer the young girl you loved before.
I know my hair is gray and my face is full of wrinkles.
I hope you never minded, that I am not in the same shape.
That you knew, that you remembered.
About me..and that you never left a piece of me,
in the war. Like how I left your heart in my hands.
The only think that kept me warm..
