at the open mic poetry
You're the honey
that sweetens my tea
You're chewing on old bread
while you could have a feast
but you're too happy finding
delights in the least
You were walking one evening
with your long and boring hair
the man peeking out the corner
surely didn't care
He dragged you to a parking lot
threw you down like junk
the last time I saw your face
was when I shut that trunk
