Wise Beyond her Years


Little girl, trying to find your place
Searching and searching for a friend
Trying to find where you belong
A heart you can never mend
Torn apart by broken promises
And a hand that they couldn’t lend

Betrayal and lies
Scattered across your past
Seeing everyone leave
How long will this last?
The lies and bullying
All the rumors that they cast

Little girl, stay strong

Stay away from her
You evil beasts
As she cuts herself and bleeds,
On her pain you feast
You tear and you strip
Till her soul is the least

That little girl
Was wise beyond her years
She stood up for herself
And faced her fears
Till, at last, she could take no more
And her final breath nears

She was a victim
Not unlike me
I was taught by her
She helped me to see

And how kind others can be
