Hidden
Her eyes hid it all.
They hid the sadness.
They hid the urge to cry.
They held the tears back being locked, steel doors.
They were innocent eyes; the eyes of a beautiful, young girl.
She fakes a laugh, then fakes a smile.
They all believe it, and laugh along.
Hers might be fake, but theirs are real.
No one knows the pain she feels.
Inside her head, it doesn't make sense.
Does she deserve it?
She doesn't know.
Is she the only one?
That's the way it feels.
She feels so alone, by herself, on her own.
She doesn't know what to do anymore.
It looks like she's kept it all together, but in all honesty,
she's falling apart.
She's realized that the pain is real, the loneliness is real, and
that this miserable life is real.
It's just too much, and she can't take it...
Yet somehow she keeps it all together, wearing all her battle
wounds from this war against herself.
