Don't kick me just because
I'm down,
can you just lift me instead of giving me a frown.
Are you mad and or disgusted am I bothering you,
that I am doing something that I want to do?
Why do you just have to be filled with such hate,
why can't you just believe in me and motivate.
Don't kick us just because we're this color,
we are capable of anything just as any other.
Let us shine through without evil society,
give us the chance to us without your judgmental mentality.
Our appearance can explain everything there's no need to
speak,
when acceptance from you is the last thing we want to seek.
Don't kick me just because you don't like the way I
stand,
the way I stand up for what I believe in without holding
someone's hand.
God holds me when I feel no one is near or here,
I just feel his love flowing through my heart so I know its
there.
Why would you want to make someone's dream burn,
even though all this makes me stronger with more dreams I
yearn.
