Staring in awe

Sitting, transfixed 

The explosion of light

It has left me perplexed

Never in my life have I seen such a fight

Ear-splitting shots from the T.V. ring out

You come take my hand, you tell me it’ll be all right

The war on the television, how it doubts

I scream and shout! 

Yet you comfort me still

Though right now there is war,

There is also love

For which we were sent down to do 

From our God up above
