why wont he text me?

Truth is girls, boys DONT CARE.
You sit around all day thinking of them. 
Writing your first name and his last over and over
drawing hearts;; everywhere. 

While him? you know, the guy you've fallen head over heels for?
yeah, hes hanging out with his buddies
or playing call of duty. 
if he thinks about you, its cause your name just lit up on his phone

incoming text?
eh ill answer it after i finish this round of COD 
he thinks-- while we, us girls that is, anxiously wait for his reply
thinking of different ways we could have started the conversation
overanalyzing. 
deciding that three "y"'s at the end of "heyyy" seemed a little desperate

and when he does finally reply, 
and your heart skips a beat, and you feel like, 
hey maybe he is thinking about me right now. 

He's probably not.
He probably just died on call of duty 
and didnt want to seem rude

so the butterflies flutter in our stomach 
while we type and retype a witty reply to his "hey, whatsup?"
and he sits there. 
playing his xbox, 
like it could be there for him better than you can.
