Long, but worth
reading.
My name is Hailey, my life
is hell.
I have so many secrets that I can not tell.
I live in a homeless shelter with my dad.
Tonight He came home drunk; I could tell he was mad.
He has never hit me, but when he’s drunk he calls me
names.
He woke up the next morning and says, “Sorry about last
night, I was insane.”
I ignore his apology and make my way to High School.
I don’t have enough money to buy what everyone thinks is
“cool”.
I arrive to school looking like a mess,
But it’s not my fault; I’m under a lot of stress.
I hear people whispering about me as I walk down the hall.
I wish I could beat them all up, but I’m in
10th grade, and less than 5ft tall.
I want to run out of here, tears fill my eyes.
This is my braking point,
I’m about to cry.
I run into the bathroom and burst into tears.
I cry quietly, I don’t want people to hear.
A group of girls come up to me and call me a baby.
They tell me to grow up and act like a lady.
One of them says, ”She’s an ugly mess, she'll
never have a boyfriend”.
They leave the bathroom laughing at me,
I want this torture to end.
I’m late to 1st period, but I don’t
care.
It’s not like they’d notice if I didn’t show up
there.
I still have my back pack filled with books.
I undo the backpack zipper, and begin to look.
I pull out some pills and take too many at a time.
After 2 minutes I still feel fine.
I pull out a beer from my open book bag.
I chug the whole thing until I begin to gag.
I feel so sick that I fall to the floor.
I look to the left and see a girl open the door.
She cries for help as she touches my head,
But little does she know I will soon be dead.
Goodbye life, so long, fare well.
I’m going to heaven, and leaving this hell.
